SOURCE: Panasonic TH-50PZ80U tv, error- 2 blinks

1. Reseating the connector P25 may solve the problem. If it does not.
2. Unplug the unit andd disconnect the connectors A5, A6, and A7. Apply power to the TV. If a White screen comes up and all voltages check normal, replace the P board.
3. If the TV stays on after isolating the SC board, then replace the SC board and the D board; it is likely that the fuse on the D board is blown.

SOURCE: panasonic hd tv light blinks 7 times

Hi,

Unfortunately this appears to be a common issue developing with these Panasonic sets i.e the '7 blinks of death'!

Several customers are complaining about it. The problem is caused by one, both, or all of the following boards: SC board, SD board, and SU board.

Most commonly, the SC board is the one that has failed and because Panasonic have received so many complaints about this issue they are now agreeing to replace the SC board under extended warranty.

However this is not widely known amongst the general public and Panasonic have kept it very quiet.

I would suggest that you make contact with the Panasonic Concierge service centre. Make them aware that you are aware of the SC board issue and that there is an extended warranty on this and ask them to replace it.

However if it happens that one of the other boards has failed be aware that Panasonic are not covering these under warranty and you will be charged for the repair in this case.

The Panasonic Concierge service is available from here

Thanks for using FixYa.

Red Blinks - No Power

2 blinks is one of the power sources not coming up. most likely thje power board, but a short on a periphael board can mimmick. Only a Panasonic auth service should be used and expect a repair of $200 to $400. Since the set is not very old, call the panasonic number in your book......they will give you a case number and in some instances may cover it!!
