That doesn't sound good.

You should check if the outlet have over 240V, in that case, you should NOT use that outlet. If not, it might be the power supply that doesn't have enough resistance (electricity blockage that stop the console from being "overpowered") , and you should might get a new power supply.

Sony Grand WEGA KDF-60XBR950 60 green orange green red flashing light

3 blinks is a lamp cover error, did you make sure that the lamp cover is screwed in tight? Also check the lamp cover for deformity, there is a problem with your model where the set over heats and melts the lamp cover a little causing it not to make connection with the lamp cover switch. Let me know if you find either of these problems? If not we can troubleshoot a little further.

18v 12 cordless trimmer/edger. Why won't it start?

the trimmers switch may be faulty.

CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
Battery packs for this tool are shipped in a low charge condition
to prevent possible problems. Therefore, you should
charge them until the green LED on the front of the charger
comes on.
NOTE: Batteries will not reach full charge the first time they
are charged. Allow several cycles (operation followed by
recharging) for them to become fully charged.
CHARGING A COOL BATTERY PACK
See Figure 3.
If battery pack is within normal temperature range, the red
LED on charger will come on.
NOTE: If the charger does not charge the battery pack
under normal circumstances, return both the battery pack and
charger to your nearest Ryobi Authorized Service Center for
electrical check.
n Charge the battery pack only with the charger provided.
n Make sure the power supply is normal household
voltage, 120 volts, 60 Hz, AC only.
n Connect the charger to the power supply.
n Place the battery pack in the charger aligning raised rib
on the battery pack with the groove in the charger.
n Press down on the battery pack to be sure contacts on
the battery pack engage properly with contacts in the
charger.
n Normally the red LED on charger will come on. This
indicates the charger is in fast charging mode.
n Red LED should remain on for approximately 1 hour
then the green LED will come on. Green LED on
indicates battery pack is fully charged and charger is
in maintenance charge mode.
NOTE: The green LED will remain on until the
battery pack is removed from the charger or charger is
disconnected from the power supply.
n If both yellow and green LEDs come on, this indicates
a deeply discharged or defective battery pack.
Allow the battery pack to remain in the charger for 15
to 30 minutes. When the battery pack reaches normal
voltage range, the red LED should come on. If the
red LED does not come on after 30 minutes, this may
indicate a defective battery pack and should be
replaced.
n After normal usage, a minimum of 1 hour of charging time
is required to fully recharge battery pack.
n The battery pack will become slightly warm to the
touch while charging. This is normal and does not
indicate a problem.
n Do not place the charger and battery pack in an area of
extreme heat or cold. They will work best at normal room
temperature.
NOTE: The charger and battery pack should be placed
in a location where the temperature is more than 50°F
but less than 100°F.
n When batteries become fully charged, unplug the
charger from power supply and remove the battery
pack.

I have a new heater with diferant terminals from the old one so not sure how to atach the wires

There is no need to rewire the internal of the heater!
Just bring in the electrical supply to the heater, it can be either 120 or 240 volts.
If the heater you have is like the picture associated with your post, then all then have to do is change the supplied plug from 240 to 120. It comes pre set for 240. That plug is inside the cabinet.

If any other brand, then you need to change the wires at the transformer of the heater. All heaters need to be supplied with primary voltage: 120 or 240. Then the control system is supplied with secondary voltage out of the transformer. The secondary voltage is no more than 28 volts. and these wires are normally colored as blue or yellow.

Secondary power is already wired within the heater. NO need to change where they are. You will only need to deal with the Primary wiring.

There are many varieties of transformers that transform high primary voltage to a low secondary voltage of 28 volts. and these transformers have many wires: primary & secondary.
I will try to make this easy to understand.

If you have a Gas Heater Transformer with these colors:
  • Red
  • Black
  • White
  • Green
Or...
  • Red
  • White with Red Stripe
  • Black
  • White with Black Stripe
  • Green
These are Dual Voltage Transformers, you can bring in either 120 Volts or 240 Volts

If you bring in only 120 Volts...
1st example:
The Red wire will not be used! Hot wire to the Black, and the Neutral/Common, to the white wire. Green to ground.

2nd example:
Connect the Red wire with the White with Red Stripe together and connect these to the incoming Neutral/Common wire, normally White.
Connect the Black Wire with the White with Black Stripe to your incoming Hot Wire, which is normally Black.
Green to ground

If you bring in 240 Volts...
1st example.
1 Hot wire to the Red, the Other Hot wire to the Black, and White wire is not used. Green to ground

2nd Example:
Wire nut the two Striped wires together. then one incoming Hot wire to the Black, the other incoming Hot wire to Red.
Green to ground

Or This is only a Low voltage - 120 Volts Only
  • Black
  • White
  • Green
Or either any of these combinations...
  • 2 Blacks w/Green
  • 2 Reds w/Green
  • 1 Black, 1 Red w/green
This type will only be a high voltage, 240 volts only
Picture below is what a transformer looks like and it is where your incoming supply wires go. The smaller leads with the spade connections will go to a specific location & is the 'Secondary" .

Good Luck

hi,
You have to check the power supply of you tv for any voltage missing. also check the back light inverter board for any short circuit in it. Inverter transformers in the back light controlling board can become faulty.Three blink indicate the power supply have some problem. First of all replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply board. If filter capacitors in the power supply is bad then this problem can occur.

Power box light is blinking orange and sometime a steady red and console want come on.

Green Indicator Light:

The default indicator light is green. When the Xbox 360 power supply light is green it means that there are no problems with your power supply. However, if you are having problems and the power supply light is green, this means that the console is faulty and you need to contact Xbox 360 support.

Orange or Yellow Indicator Light

When the Xbox 360 power supply light is orange or yellow this means there is no problem with your console but the power supply can't supply it with power.

To remedy this problem, first try unplugging the Xbox 360 power supply from the console and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. You'll also want to uplug the Xbox 360 power supply from the power cord.

Wait for about five minutes and then reconnect everything. You might also want to try plugging it into another wall outlet without an extension cord.

If you are still getting an orange or yellow indicator light, then something is at fault with the Xbox 360 power supply. If this is the case, contact the Xbox 360 customer support to get a new one.

Red Indicator Light:

If the xbox 360 power supply light is red, then there is something wrong with the power supply connection. If this is the case, try the same solution as listed above of unplugging the power supply from the console, unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet and unplugging the power supply from the power cord. Wait for about five minutes and then reconnect everything. You might also want to try plugging it into another wall outlet without an extension cord.

If the indicator lights are still red, then there is a fault with the power supply. If this is the case, contact customer support about getting a new one.

No Indicator Light:

If the XBox 360 power supply light is not illuminating at all, this usually means that the Xbox power supply is not connected to the wall outlet correctly. On the other hand, it might also be a fault with the power supply or the power cord.

Either way, try the same solution as listed above for the red indicator lights. If you still don't see any lights illuminated after unplugging and then reconnecting everything, you'll need to contact customer support about getting a new power supply.

Green and Orange Indicator Light:

If the indicator light is flashing green and orange, this may mean that the console does not detect the AV Pack.

Disconnect and then reconnect the Xbox AV Pack. Make sure the connections are firmly connected. Turn your Xbox back on.

If the indicator light is still flashing green and orange, try another AV pack if one is available.

If the indicator light is still flashing green and orange, you'll need to contact Miscrosoft Customer support.

Flashing Orange Indicator Light:

If your Xbox console's indicator light flashes orange, this means the internal components have overheated and the Xbox has automatically shut down to prevent damage.

Turn off the console and let it cool for at least 10 minutes.

To prevent the Xbox from overheating in the future, make sure that it's not placed in a closed cabinet or on carpet. It's best to get the Xbox elevated off the ground where the PSU can have maximum heat release.

You'll also want to make sure the Xbox is not located near a heat source like the back side of a television, computer, monitor, or other electrical device.

NEC PLASMA SYNC 42MP2 STANDY BY MODE?

According to the manual for "POWER/STANDBY indicator is blinking in red":
  • "The temperature inside the main unit has become too high and has activated the protector."
  • "Promptly switch off the power of the main unit ans wait until the internal temperature drops."
  • "If the monitor becomes too hot, the overheat protector will be activated and the monitor will be turned off. If this happens, turn off the power to the monitor and unplug the power cord. If the room where the monitor is installed is particularly hot, move the monitor to a cooler location and wait for the monitor to cool for 60 minutes."

It does not turn on, remains in stand by mode.

I cannot be COMPLETELY sure of this so be careful, but doesn't the PS3's board cater for both types of power supply and therefore a step down transformer is not needed? Check the labels on it just in case, but be wary I CANNOT be certain of this...

Yeppers. Sounds like the standby power supply has a bad capacitor in it and the regulator Ic is defective. These parts should only be replaced by quilified technician as there is very high voltage inside these sets. Good Luck
