SOURCE: size of inlet for shower

Hi,

The inlet pipeworks for a shower to Saniflo would normally be 2" / 52mm polypipe as per the diagram (different saniflo unit type, but they are all the same)

SOURCE: Hi i'm pretty sure my son has just flushed a baby

Hi, Had this myself with my son a while back!

*** STEP 1 ... DISCONNECT THE MAINS POWER SUPPLY!!!! ***

You'll need to drain the main toilet bowl of water and remove the toilet bowl away from the sanoflo. This may require that you also empty the cistern and stop the water from entering it (do you have an inline valve to the cistern supply pipe?)

When you have emptied the water and removed the toilet bowl there should be a large Jubilee clip attaching the saniflow to the WC waste outlet. Loosten this and remove it so you can see into the saniflo where the WC waste goes.

You should be able to see the object and reach it with your hands. I would suggest wearing some rubber gloves to protect your hands from getting gunk in cuts etc.

If you cannot get to the object, you'll need to empty out the other pipes to the Saniflo and remove the unit. When you have done this you'll need a star driver to open up the unit and get to the object inside. I would suggest that since most of the saniflo range have an internal grille to stop objects such as this actually hitting the macerator that you should be able to reach it just by disconnecting the WC waste connection

If this helps please leave feedback

SOURCE: AAV for saniflo.

You cannot use a cheater, studdor or mechanical vent or an AAV on any Saniflo product. As they are considered one way vents, they only allow air to flow one way. Saniflo pumps must have an 1 1/2" vent pipe vented to the open air, air must flow in and out of the vent pipe at all times, otherwise the pump will short cycle and the solids will not leave the toilet. You will have to flush it several times to get rid of the waste and eventually the motor will go bad. Make sure is vented properly.

SOURCE: We have a twyford toilet

Check the top lid of the pump casing. There is a 1/2" hole on top which must be kept plugged or seal capped. If left open odor tends to emmitt from there. Also check for any loose connections or waste leak at the bottom of the pump casing or the bowl.

The bath water won't pump out. Seems like there's too much water left in the Saniplus itself to allow the bath inlet valve to open. Can this be adjusted? The toilet and wash basin are working OK.

This is a bit of a puzzle, if theres water in the Suniplus then the float valve will operate and the water will pumped out as it does for the toilet and wash basin.
I can only think that the bath discharge none return valve is stuck and needs removing and cleaning.

Hope that solves the problem.

My sanivite is not pumping the water out or its extremely slow

Make sure the vent on top of the unit is not obstructed. Did someone flush something that isn't supposed to be flushed? Baby wipes or feminine napkins are an absolute no-no. If the macerator blades have been tangled from something like these items, it will have to be taken apart to be cleaned. DW

My saniflo might be blocked by baby wipes, it vibrates madly

The pump will have to be removed completely out the back of the toilet, then the lid must be pried open, the blockage might be on the blades or the impeller which is at the bottom of the motor. Also inspect the discharge pipe for any blockages.

Sanipump toilet had a wipe put down it. i have taken the unit off the back and opened it but it wasn't blocked - put hand in and had good feel around! still making awful grinding noise when flushed. any...

it may have something stuck in the blade (on top of motor) or the impeller (at bottom of motor) to get to the impeller the motor complete will have to be removed out of the pump casing. Also check the discharge pipe for any obstructions. Also there is a pump cover plate located at the bottom of the motor and it will cause the unit to make a loud grinding noise if anything is stuck in there.

My saniplus is not working correctly, it doesn't drain the water from the bath and it makes a funny noise. Its any way of checking inside it?.

Could be something stuck on the blade or the impeller. You can unplug the unit from the GFI, remove all the piping attached, remove the unit completely out the back of the toilet, pry open the lid with a flat head screwdriver, remove 2 screws in front and 1 at the back of the pump casing, then you will be able to remove the motor and pressure chamber out of the pump casing. Therefore you can put it on a work bench and inspect the blade and impeller for obstructions.

Sanipro xr massirato the problem is the pump is not pumping on makes a stuck sound, how do we clear out the massrator?.

You must remove the lid to gain access to the blades. Make sure you unplug the unit first. When reinstalling the lid place a little soap water around the gasket to help with the seal. thanks for using FIXYA. Jeff

Noisy Sanifloplus Saniflo unit

Could be that the motor is not sitting straight, instead it cuuld be tilted and when it pumps, it vibrates and makes a loud noise. Or could be something stuck on the impeller or pump cover plate. Pry open the lid with a flat head screwdriver then remove the motor and pressure chamber, therefore you can inspect it. Good luck.
