PLEASE HELP AFTER CHARGING MY SANSA E200 MY BROTHER PULLED THE PLUG FROM THE COMPUTER WITHOUT EJECTING FIRST. THEN THE REFRESH DATABASE SCREEN CAME ON AND THEN IT JUST FROZE. I THINK I DID THE FORMATTING THING CORRECT BUT IT IS STILL FRONZEN. IF ANYONE CAN HELP I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

U have to restore the factory settings and check again..... If it does not work then Recover the player by using sansa recovery tool. The link for this tool is http://mp3support.sandisk.com/tools/DeviceRecoverySetup.exe The instructions u can find in the following link http://sandisk.com/assets/File/pdf/retail/connect-recovery-instructions.pdf

My e200 freezes on the “Refreshing Database” screen
STEP 1 – Reset the device
  1. Press the Power button and hold it for approximately 10 seconds.
  2. Release the Power button once the device is powered down.
  3. Turn the device back on.
STEP 2 – Download and Install the Sansa Firmware Updater

(e260R) Refresh Database eternal loop

Turn it on into recovery mode (Hold + Record Button + Power)
Connect to computer (You should detect a 16MB drive)
Make an empty text file inside the 16MB Drive and rename it to "sansa.fmt"
Unplug the Sansa. You should see now a "Formatting..." on the Sansa's screen.
Sansa fixed!

Sansa e200 shows refresh database fail

try putting it in MSC mode and formating it and then putting back on MTP mode. Hope that works

Sansa e200 locks up in refresh database during startup

if the computer can find ur sansa(or 16mb format) you should rightcliick and format it. this will delete ur music, videos, etc but it will make ur player usable

Refresh database

Sansa e200 provides a RESET function for unresponsive units. Press and hold the MENU button for 15 seconds, and this should work to regain normal funtionality. Please note: settings and adjustments from the last operation WILL BE LOST. The files however should remain.

Hey Do the recovery Turn ur mp3 off lock it and hold rec and on it wiil have u plug in the usb cord and leave it there for 5 min And unlock then it will turn back on its self
