Question about Daewoo DTQ-29S1FCN 27" TV
Hi, I am hoping you will be able to add some relief to a frustrating problem. My husband and I have a Daewoo t.v. and recently got digital cable. Now, before we added the cable the t.v. was hooked to our vcr and dvd player and we had no problems. The t.v. would stay on and it was not at the time connected to any type of surge protecter just our wall outlet. So we then decided to get the cable added. It was installed and that's when the problems begin to happen. Do you think it's the t.V., the cable or both? When the t.v. is on it will remain on for a time and then this electrical static noise comes on and the picture starts warping and fuzzing out until the t.v. and the cable goes out. It does turn back on once we click on and off the surge protector. After this was happening for a time we took these intial steps: 1. We returned the cable box for a brand new one. 2. We bought a surgeprotector for Satellite/Home Theatre use 3. When the t.v. and cable goes out the lamps stay on they are not affected. They are also hooked into the surge protector.
I was just wondering if you have the original remote for that tv or if you are using a universal. I have the same tv but dont have the remote and i cant find a universal that works.

Do you mean that the TV shuts off and the cable box also shuts off? Is the TV plugged into the back of the cable box? This sounds to me as if the cable box is defective and the TV is plugged into the cable box instead of the power strip. To prove whether or not the cable box is defective, plug the cable directly into the TV, plug the TV directly into the wall outlet and watch one of the lower channels. If the TV acts up and shuts off, have the TV serviced. If the TV plays fine, replace the cable box.
