You will have to go to the website to download drivers for your audio card. If you are running Windows they may have audio drivers. Go to website of the makers of your computer for drivers. Check the volume first. If this doesn't work then consider a new sound card and install it.

I want link to download audio drivers for compaq presario m 2000 oc notebook audio drivers

For this you need to go for HP Official website, you can use this link to go at:

Compaq Presario Notebooks

-- select the Support and Drivers Provide the exact model of your Notebook -->

Then it will need your Windows Operating system

Then you have to opt for Audio drivers --> there you will be found

Driver - Audio Date Version Previous Size » Conexant CX20468-31 AC97 Audio Driver EQ 12-2004 1.00 A - 314.43k » Conexant CX20468-31 AC97 Audio driver

Then download them one by one and see if it works. Otherwise let me know if you face difficulty.

Please vote the solution. Thanks

AUDIO DRIVER

If you get any message when installing Conexant High Definition Audio Drivers in your Notebook, make sure that you had already installed the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture(UAA) Drivers before installing the Audio Drivers.

Download the Microsoft UAA drivers for your Notebook available through the link below :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe

Download and save the files in the Hard Drive of the Notebook and double click on the file to install the Drivers.

Restart the Notebook and you should be able to install the Conexant High Definition Audio Drivers which are available for download from the link below :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32864.exe

This should solve your issue.

However, if you get any errors installing the above audi Drivers, you need to try installing the Conexant AC-Link Audio Drivers as your Notebook may not be installed with Conexant High Definition Audio card :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32001-32500/sp32272.exe

Save the file and double click on it to install the drivers in your Notebook.

This should work...

HP Pavilion dv1000 PC Notebook Audio Problem

There are two different audio cards shipped with Pavilion DV1000 series Notebooks.

If your Notebooks belong to DV1600 series, your Notebook should have been shipped with Conexant High Definition Audio card.

This can be one of the reason why you are unable to install the Conexant AC Link audio drivers in your Notebooks.

You need to install Microsoft UAA Drivers first before installing the Conexant High Definition Audio Drivers in the Notebook.

Download the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture(UAA) Drivers for your Notebook from the HP link below :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe

Please save the file in the Notebook and double click it after the download completes to install the drivers. Restart the Computer once the installation of the Microsoft UAA Drivers is completed.

Now download the Conexant High Definition audio drivers from the link below :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32864.exe

Save the file and double click on it once it is saved to install the Drivers.

This should solve the issue with audio in your Notebooks.

Hope this helps...

Mic Probs.

Hi,

We need to few more details to fix this issue. Like the OS installed in the notebook and if you are able to hear normal audio from the notebook speakers.

If you are not able hear the normal audio from the notebook speakers, then the issue could be with the Audio driver.

If that is the case, then you can try reinstalling the Audio driver, as it is same driver for both Audio and Mic.

If you are able to hear the sound from the notebook and if only Mic is not working, then you can perform the steps given in the below URL:

For XP:

If the OS is Vista:

No audio device on notebook

Cable3,

Sounds like you indeed have a problem with an audio hardware driver. Presumably the 'Audio Device on High Definition Bus' is the system detecting a device it doesn't have a driver installed for.

First question - was the sound working previously? If so, did you recently install any type of audio software not related to the sound device itself?

Please provide the exact model number of the VAIO notebook and we can point you to the correct driver and try that for starters.
