Dont have the manual in front of me...recollect that there's two types of warnings. The pulsating warning is oil (starts with 30 minutes of oil left) or the fuel filter (or sperator, something like that) may have water in it. Running outboard with cover off, is a little black box that would have a red light lit if that's the case. If oil full & no red light, may be oil injection system...would also check to make sure lines aren't pinched, etc. Mine has been specific to oil the two times its gone off.

The full non-pulsating is engine overheat. Not sure beyond that.

Not much, but hopefully gets you going.

1999 Cherokee starts but won't keep running without giving it throttle.

Assuming everything is working correctly, you may have to drive it up to 50 miles for the computer to relearn the basic perimeters.
I think you can also turn the key on, open the throttle to wide open, then close it 2 or 3 times to reset the memory in the computer.
Not sure about Jeeps.

Having problems with my 1998 suzuki RM 125

The plug you need is an NGK R6918B-9. they aren't cheap. I would think this may be the problem. 2 strokes rely on the correct bits to keep them running smoothly. Spark plugs are more important on 2 strokes than 4 strokes due to the oil in the fuel/air mixture.

Yamaha outboard engine. Model f20leha manufactured 5-2011, has about 30 hours on it. Sinse new engine is hard to start, after finally getting engine started, hard to keep it running untill engine gets...

have you left the choke open ? this mixes more fuel to the engine upon starting but will stall it if left open too long . check your fuel filter too it may be full of debris.

Carb adjustments/ rule of thumb

Assuming that the adjustment screws 'H' and 'L' have slotted heads, turn both CW to stops (lightly), then back out CCW 1-1/2 turns each. This is a basic setting and the engine should start and run. Allow to warm up, then pull the throttle full on. Turn H CW until the engine starts to speed-up, but still 4-stroking. Proper adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L CW for fairly smooth running, yet allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust idle speed so that the chain stops turning, but the engine keeps running.

142 chain saw. Starts but will not pick up when

Check the fuel lines for hardness, cracking, splitting, or end rot. Check the muffler for plugging. Check the carburetor fasteners for tightness. Are you using fresh fuel mix? If the carburetor jets have been adjusted, try turning both CW to stops (lightly) then back out each CCW 1-1/2 turns. Engine should start and run--allow to warm up. Pull the throttle full on, and adjust H needle CW until the engine starts to speed up, but still 4-strokes. Proper adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Let idle and adjust L CW for fairly smooth running, but still allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Hope this helps!

Husqvana 65 chain saw will rev fully when idle but dies when introduced to timber

Sounds like the saw is running lean. Check the fuel filter, air cleaner and muffler for plugging. Check the condition of the fuel lines and that the fasteners on the carburetor are tight. If all ok, turn the 'L' and 'H' jet needles on the carburetor CW to stops (lightly), then back out each 1-1/2 turns CCW. This is a basic setting and the engine should start and run. Allow the engine to warm up, pull the throttle full on, and adjust H CW until the engine starts to speed up, but continues to 4-stroke. Proper adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. This produces the most power and least heat. Allow to idle and adjust L CW until the engine runs fairly well, yet will allow it to 'follow the throttle'. Set the idle speed screw til the chain stops moving, but keeps the engine running. Hope this helps!

Saw starts then dies. Changed fuel ine soaked carb

Check the fuel filter, air cleaner and muffler for plugging. Was the carburetor disassembled when soaked and did you use compressed air to blow out all passages? If the carburetor jet screws have been moved, preset them as follows: Turn both H and L screws CW to stops (lightly), then back out CCW each screw 1-1/2 turns. Start the engine and allow to warm up. Pull the throttle full on and adjust H CW until the engine speeds up somewhat but 4-stroking. Proper adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Allow to idle and adjust L CW until the engine runs fairly well, but still allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust idle speed screw so that chain stops turning, but the engine continues to run. Hope this helps!

My TB475SS starts and then dies right away. i

It usually wont idle very well when it's cold, Goto #1 on the choke give the rope a couple of "quick" tugs, and then move it to #2 Give it one or 2 more tugs with a little throttle, now it should be running witha little throttle, let it run like that for a minute then move it to #3 kinda still pumping the throttle a little and it should take off fine. If this is the 4 stroke, mine did the same thing until it was broke in good. (About 4-5 uses), now I have to say its more reliable than any 2-stroke I've owned and I use it commercially. 1st or 2nd pull everytime and is ready as soon as it fires! Hope this helps!
