Check the side wheels for obstructions.

• With the robot on its back, push the wheels up and down several times to make sure nothing is stuck. Turn the wheels by hand to see if they both have the same amount of resistance.
• Clean the wheel assembly out with compressed air and/or a vacuum

this doesn't help?

I am having trouble with my back wheels on my Electrolux 2100 canister vacuum. They will spin when the vac is upside down, but just drag when I pull the vac across my hard wood floors. Can you tell me...

Hi,

It seems that the bearings of the wheel may have given, one reason why it will spin if in an upside down position but will drag if the right side up and with weight on it.

i do not see a locking mechanism on the wheels of you Vacuum, i believe having the wheels replaced will be the only solution to the concern.

My back wheel won't roll on my electrolux 2100. If I turn the cannister over, I can spin the wheel, but when I place it right side down, it just drags on the floor. How do I replace it?

Hi you need to find a local Vacuum repair place one that deals in Electrolux, and go there and take the vacuum or the make and model, and ask for a replacement part, that is the only way that you would be able to obtain spare parts, in fact while you are there, perhaps even inquire as to how much it may cost to do it? ask for a "Quote" and go from there.

Makes a horrible noise, and the rubber brush doesn't spin.

Noise is coming from the cleaning head module. Disassemble it and clean the gearbox on its side then remove the yellow caps from both brushes and clean. Also remove the front wheel and clean.

Bissell carpet cleaner brushes won't turn

Make sure you have released the handle, as if you wanted to push the machine forward. If the handle is locked upright, the brushes do not spin.

If they still don't spin, you may have a broken belt. Look carefully at the base, on each side. As I face the front of mine, on the right side of the machine, a small belt goes around one brush and a small cog wheel. On the left side, a larger belt goes around both brushes. If either belt is broken, the brushes will not spin. This can happen if you let gunk build up inside the clear plastic side pieces or around or above the brushes. It's very important to constantly be cleaning your Bissell. The belts can be ordered online and replaced. See your owner's manual.

Ensure that the front caster can spin freely, pivot, and rotate. Remove the caster by pulling it out and clear any dirt. Reinsert the wheel and lightly push the wheel up and down

Turbo Tool doesn't spin freely

This is air-driven, the only way to clean it is to take it apart. Clean out the bearings and end pieces for the wheel. If it is metal, put a drop of lite weight oil on them, but if plastic, then don'f use oil. Use furniture wax to clean and lube if you need to. It needs to turn freely with no friction. If this doesn't help, then replace it.
