SOURCE: removing handlebar on stihl ms 270 chainsaw

you have to take the top cover off of the engine and then remove the tab that holds the bushing in place alongside the engine. if you just start prying on the plastic plug from the outside of the handle you will damage the retainer. that holds it in place. If you have already done this, there is a solution.

SOURCE: Does the centrifical clutch on a Stihl 034 AV

I cannot find a manual for an 034 so I must make my best guess (yes, left handed thread). Most Stihl saws have inboard clutches. I am going to reply as though that is true. The drive sprocket does not require (if inboard clutch) clutch removal. It must be removed to access the actual clutch. I reply as though you want to actually remove the clutch itself.

Do this first:

The C-clips tend to fly when being removed. Please wear eye protection and exercise care.

Continue using this as a guide:

  1. Check the IPL for your saw to see if any special tools are needed. Poulan (Craftsman, Jonsered, Husky) clutch removal tool part number 530031112 if needed, is under $5 from many sources (look at the visible area between the weights if 2 small round sockets are visible you need the tool).
  2. There are metal piston stops available, when square (almost never) with the piston top these work well, if not square they have been known to punch through the piston. I suggest a length of nylon rope (nothing left behind) be used instead of the piston stop (retain 6" ± so you can remove it). Make sure the piston is near the top of the cylinder before feeding the cord or it can fall through the exhaust port and damage the piston as it rises.
  3. Everyone I have ever removed had a left handed thread (tighten it to loosen it).
If I missed any part of your question you can reply below and I will clarify. Good Luck with your project. HTH

Stihl fs 36 44 Motor wont rev

A very common problem I see with trimmers is the spark arrestor screen plugs up blocking the exhaust from exiting the engine causing the engine to not wind out like it should. If that doesn't solve the problem then check the diaphragm in the carburetor. Those units are obsolete and very difficult to find parts for so I wouldn't spend a lot of time or money on it to fix it

Have a 05 sebring sedan. front end squeaks in the suspension when it gets warm. have replaced everything in the the last year. what else could it be.

Usually squeaks are rubber bushings that need liquid soap lubrication. The anti-roll bar bushings and end links are common sources. So is the lower arm bushings that work with the strut assembly. Suggest getting under the car while someone pushes down on the front end to get it squeaking. Good luck!

Is there a way to replace the rubber bushing on dryer motor

Motor is replaced as a unit and not individual parts. if that bushing wore out the motor needs replaced.
