My onkyo Bluetooth adapter just blinks when I plug

My onkyo Bluetooth adapter just blinks when I plug it in. Usually it would say on my surround sound that its connected and ready. Now it doesn't say anything and the Bluetooth just blinks. Solutions?

SOURCE: I have an Onkyo TX-DS575

HD Video FROM your TV???? Video goes TO the TV and gets there either via direct tuning of an HD air station or from a Cable?SAT box, BluRay player... The unidentified TV's manual should cover that.

The Onkyo's manual covers most of the rest.

My $.02...

NO signal ever benefits from multiple connections or 'hops' and it gets expensive zig-zagging a signal all over the room. K-I-S-S is the word of the day. Run the BEST version of any signal directly from its source to the BEST electronics that will present it to you for consumption. The separation of audio and video inputs and outputs on a device is what allows and ENCOURAGES the routing of each signal to the BEST electronics that can process it. Example: your TV does not have the best speakers in the room so why send it any high-end audio?

If the sound actually comes from an external source treat that source like any other hi-end audio component and attach its highest quality audio directly to the receiver according to ITS manual. The separation of audio and video inputs and outputs on a device is what allows and encourages the direction of each signal to the BEST electronics that can process it.

Sure. You need an adapter cable that will plug into the headphone socket on one end, and on the other end, plug into your Onkyo's "line input", like this one:

Try checking that the wires are properly connected to receiver. Maybe the sub speaker is blown

You don't say if all speakers work with the setup procedure. THAT is step 1. Then try FM as it doesn't require any cabling. Then move on to more complex sources like external analog, then digital (and make sure to assign the ports).

7.1 would have Surround Back L and R.

6.1 would have just one back there (SB). It defaults to the Left output on the Pre-Outs if you ever go that route.

This being a 6.1 receiver it does not support two SB channels BUT you can configure those amp channels for a separate Zone supporting 2 speakers. Confused?

The manual shows a single SB speaker connected to the left side on Page 27. THAT would be consistent with a 6.1 configuration.

I want to know how to connect my lcd 32" tv to my new ht-c550 so that i can watch tv and listen to the sound of the tv through the surround system, what do i need to plug and where?

Not enough info here. But basically, the Audio Out from your TV (could be Toslink fiber-optic or Digital Coax or just Red and White Audio cables) go into the receiver's inputs (either TV, or Aux or whatever). If you just use the Red and White cables (stereo), you will not get true surround sound though. Just put your receiver on whichever one you hook it to (ie: Aux) and whatever sound is on the TV will come out the Stereo or Surround Sound. It's all a matter of hooking TV out to Stereo IN. Hope this helps; James

Hi, I am having trouble connecting my Nintendo Wii to my Onkyo TX-SR507

Take the adapter cable from the Wii that plugs into the back of the Wii and converts the output(audio/video) into RCA style pin plugs, you will have: RED=right channel audio, plug it into any of the red audio INPUT on your Onkyo, then you will have WHITE=left channel audio, plug it into the other white INPUT jack next to the red plug on the Onkyo, then you will have YELLOW= video(picture) that will go directly to the yellow video INPUT on the back or side INPUTS of your TV.
Then when you want to play the Wii, set the input mode on the Onkyo to the inputs that you connected the red and white plugs into, then change the input on your TV to which ever the input is labeled on your TV in which you plugged the yellow plug into, you now will have sound comming from your Onkyo and the Wii up on the TV screen ready to play. Good luck!
