My Hoover s5620 central vacuum is not sucking. I cleaned out the canister and vacuumed the inside bag in the canister. The hose is clear as is the central vacuums tubing. Any suggestions ?

Try getting some compressed air source and blow back whatever is stuck in the hose.

Hoover not sucking

Remove all filters and try the suction on your hand, NOT THE FLOOR!
Filters are vital to keeping the motor working.
Most vacuum sucking probs are a result of a clogged filter or filters. Sometimes, hoses also. Or a full bag.
Remove all filters, clean them thoroughly, check hose for obstruction.
Use another vacuum to remove dust/dirt (or an air compressor) from the dirty filters.
That's first step.

How do I unclog the vacuum? The canisters are clean but the bottom has no suction.

Hi, it's Allie from Crucial Vacuum!

There are a few potential solutions you should try. Start by checking your unit's brushroll and clear it of any tangled hair strands or debris that my be blocking the airway. Follow by checking the internal hose for any blockages.

If the unit's suction is still not normal, the problem could be related to your filtered bag. Bags should be changed frequently and should not be left unchanged and half way filled for a long period inside your unit.

It is not cleaning the dust properly. it make too much noise.

It would help if you gave us more detail. What type of vacuum. Does it have a long hose and then terminate in wand and power vacuum head with a beater bar brush arrangement? If so, did you check your hose for obstructions? Disconnect the hose from the wand to see if it is sucking air. Do the same at the canister, disconnect the hose and see if it pulls air at the canister. I assume that you replaced the bag from inside the vacuum and cleaned up any dirt that may have accumulated inside the compartment where the bag goes. Or is this a bagless type vacuum.
It would be best if you give us the make, model number and a descrption of the vacuum.

If my system is stopped up will it make a noise inside when i plug in my hose it makes one out side at canister but not at my wall hose

Yes. A clog will cause the motor to work harder resulting in a higher pitch. To prevent the motor from burning out the clog needs cleared ASAP.
This could be something as simple as cleaning the filter, but it could also be a blockage in the hose. This will be more difficult to clear, but if you can attach the handle end of the hose to the vacuum and turn it on, it may clear it. If not, you'll probably need to take it to a repair shop.

How do i fit the hoover bag

If you remove the top of the vacuum via the clips on the side you will see the empty bucket. Where the hose connects is where you will fit the bag from the inside. On the bag you will see a hole with cardboard around, this will then push over the outlet.

I sucked up some toilet paper in my central vac, and not it has almost no suction. How do I remove the block?

Toilet paper shouldn't clog a central vacuum system. There was probably already something in there that caught the toilet paper and made it worse. Here is a good resource that might help:

Troubleshoot a problem with central vac - not in the vac hose

The only thing you can use really is a plumbers snake.
Not sure if thats what its called in the States. Its a long flexible metal spiral spring that plumbers use to clear blocked drains

Vacuum is not sucking. It is just over a year old.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
It sounds like you have a clogged hose or a full bag, or dirty filter. The best way to check your electric hose id to run a marble or steel ball thru the hose and if it goes thru all the way then check the bag and filter, most times it is the vacuum hose. If it id the hose you can try to pull apart the clog from both ends using another central or canister vacuum. If not and the ball stops mid way thru the hose then you can use a broom handle with a round hook on the end so that it does not puncture the hose is any place and the round hook can loosen or break up your clog and then your suction will return, if you poke a hole in the vacuum hose there are repair kits that go on the outside of the hose that will slide over the hose and then you use a heat gun and shrink the hose repair kit down to size therefore plugging the leak. (Hose repair kit). So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
