How to Reset Samsung ML-6510ND to Factory Defaults?

Hi there, The login details for the SyncThru web-admin was lost. Attempted> I tried using the following account details to no avail: username: admin password: sec00000 username: admin password: admin username: *blank* password: *last 8 digits of mac address* Also contacted Samsung Support and tried the following suggested fix but to no avail: ***** As per our chat conversation today, please turn off the power switch at the back of the unit, plug and unplug it. Once you have done this, kindly try to the printer reset again. If you will reset the printer, you will lose all pending faxes, preset settings and speed dials etc. To do this, please follow these steps: 1. Disconnect the power from the device. 2. With the power disconnected, hold down the ''Stop'' button. 3. While holding down the ''Stop'' button, plug the power back and do not let go of the ''Stop'' button. 4. Once the display screen shows ''Australia'', you can then let go of the ''Stop'' button. 5. Then press the ''Start'' or ''Enter'' button. It will then say clearing memory. ***** Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Hi folks,
Figured out (all thanks to Samsung Customer Support) to reset the printer back to true factory defaults (resets syncthru webadmin login as well).
Go to menu > network > clear setting.
This resets your printers hostname, IP configs, etc. back to factory details.
I then used admin / sec00000 to log into the printers syncthru web-admin.
Success XD. Thanks to everyone that contributed to this journey.

How do you do a factory reset on a Samsung ml-2525w printer?

If you have the install disc for the printer , you could delete from the hard drive and reinstall, If the Data is not installed in the printers memory this should work.

I forgot admin password

To reset the SWS (SyncThru Web Service) password:

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Press the right or left arrow until Network appears, then press OK.
  3. Press the right or left arrow until Clear Settings appears, then press OK.
  4. Select Yes and press OK.
  5. After the printer finishes clearing the network settings, unplug it for a few seconds then plug it in again.
  6. All network settings (including the SWS password) will be reset. If you had manually configured IP info or were connected to a wireless network, you will need to re-enter those settings now.
  7. The login will default back to admin and the password will be sec00000.

Note: If you did not change your password or this is your first time trying to use the SyncThru service, the default SyncThru user/password is admin/sec00000.

I lost my access code

If you lost the wireless access key you can find it by logging into your router. Using an internet browser type 192.168.1.1 into your address bar. A login window should pop up. The default login is username: admin password: admin . If these do not work then you need to reset your router to factory defaults. If this does work then look for the place where you can change the key and change it. You may need to reset the router after this for settings to take effect but after that it should work.
To reset to factory defaults, look for a button on the back that says reset. Press and hold this down for 30 seconds. Everything should reset to factory defaults and you should be able to connect without a password.

Restoring the router to default using the web interface

Symptoms

You need to restore the factory defaults using the web interface. This may be because the router is not performing as expected or you wish to remove all previously configured settings.

Setup steps:

  1. Connect the computer to one of the four LAN ports on the router.
  2. Open a web browser on the computer.
  3. In the address bar of the web browser, type http://192.168.2.1
  4. Click Login in the upper right-hand corner of the page. The router does not ship with a password, so just click Submit.

  1. Click on "Restore Factory Defaults" in the left-hand column under the Utilities heading.

  2. Click on the "Restore Defaults" button.

  3. A warning box will open that says, "Warning all your settings will be lost, are you sure you want to do this?" Click OK.

  4. The router will begin the restoring process. Once the restore is complete, the router will reboot.

Note: This may take several minutes.
Your router has successfully been restored to its factory settings.

I forget my sonicwall admin password how will reset this password

If the SonicWALL's admin password is lost, there is no backdoor or other mechanism to bypass the administrator login. Please note that prefs files do not contain the admin name and password. So if you reset the firmware and import a current prefs file, you can gain access using the default login credentials ('admin' & 'password'). Without a current prefs file, you must reset the firmware and configure from scratch.

For models running SonicOS (Enhanced or Standard), you can reboot to factory defaults. This resets all settings including the admin name, password and LAN IP address. Import the current prefs file. The configuration is restored and use the defaults 'admin' and 'password' to login.

For models running Firmware 6.X, you must reset the firmware (wipe and upload using the reset procedure). Import the current prefs file. The configuration is restored and use the defaults 'admin' and 'password' to login. The 'Reset to Factory Defaults' button does not reset the admin name, password or LAN IP address for these models

Reset There are two ways to reset the Router’s
factory defaults. Either press and hold the Reset
Button for approximately five seconds, or restore
the defaults from Administration > Factory
Defaults in the Router’s web-based utility.

How to Access the Web-Based Utility
To access the web-based utility, launch the web browser on
your computer, and enter the Router’s default IP address,
192.168.1.1, in the Address field. Then, press Enter.
A login screen will appear. (Non-Windows XP users will
see a similar screen.) Leave the User name field blank. The
first time you open the Web-based utility, use the default
password admin. (You can set a new password from the
Administration tab’s Management screen.) Click OK to
continue.
