Question about Microwave Ovens
The microwave will not heat up. It powers up, but does not heat
Please post a new help request with your full model number plus more detailed symptom information, including:
Do the inside light, turntable, and internal cooling fan ALL come on when you initiate cooking?
Any unusual noises? Is it louder or quieter than usual?
We have a sound clip of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are operating here.
These answers will help me judge whether it's in the high voltage section (magnetron, transformer, or diode) or the control section (door switch or control board relay or connection).

yeah, sounds like the microwave either had a faulty component or a bad connection in the circuitry. Once in a while you will get a bad unit.

You need to contact Sears' customer service department. Don't fool around with this yourself because it could become dangerous. Call them before trying anything else.
