Question about Olympus SP-560 UZ Digital Camera
Camera screen shows that the pictures are being recorded to the memory card, but once I put the memory card into the computer, it says there are no pictures to display. When I turn on the camera and push the playback button, I can see all of my pictures. What is the disconnect?
ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

SOURCE: memory card error
The problem seems to be that the card has been formatted incorrectly (probably by your computer, if you used it in a card reader?). Unfortunately the camera can't reformat it itself, and default computer formatting is incompatible. You'll want to download the program Lowlevelformat.exe from this website--http://olypan.quotaless.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8, install it, reformat your memory card with it, and the camera will be happy with it again.

SOURCE: Not focusing
Do you hear any unusual friction noise while the lens assembly projects out.. if so then the traction assembly of your zoom barrel has developed mechanical obstruction, in which case it has to be serviced. Take it to the service centre and the problem will be solved. If the zoom assembly does not fully extent to its homing position, the camera retracts and lens and powers itself off. Enjoy

Have same problem when camera is used underwater. Take out battery and xd card. Put camera in front of fan with lid open and facing fan for several hours.
