The SD card slot is at the front of the PC to access it you will have to remove a protective card slot cover.

Where is the sd card slot?

you don't say what kind of computer you are talking about. On laptops it could be on either side or in the front. On desktops, the SD slot (if you have one) will be on the front, either above or below the DVD drive. Usually there will be several slots together, but some models have only a SD slot.

How do you put your micro sd card in the computer?

if theres a slot for an sd card on your computer you need a micro sd card adapter. if it doesnt have an sd card slot you need to buy a usb memory card reader (making sure it takes a micro sd card first)

both are widely available in supermarkets/electrical outlets or on ebay/amazon/play etc and are very inexpensive.

When i put my sd memory card back in my digital camera it said file error

This can be due to a corrupt configuration file in the SD card. I recommend:
1) Insert the card in the SD slot in a computer that has the slot
2) Go to "My Computer" (or "Computer" in Windows 7)
3) Right click the "SD card" icon
4)Click "Format..."
5) Press "Start"
Then you should be able to use the SD card properly with your camera.

1. Understanding SanDisk TransFlash Adapter. 2. Can I use it in my Laptop? 3. How about if im online?

Hello

Answers,

1. Most computers now have an SD slot but not a transflash or micro SD slot. So you put your transflash or micro SD into the adapter and then put it in the full size SD slot in your computer.

2. Yes you can.

3. Not quite sure what this question is regarding.

Thanks

Dustin

My SD card reader on my Sony Vaio will not read the card...it seems to know its in the slot, but won't read any data and says 'insert the SD card' if I go to computer and try to read it. Any thoughts?

Take a can of air and blow some into the slot to make sure dust or dirt isn't getting the way of that reader trying to read the sd cards.

If you still get the same message try another SD card in that reader or try to see if another computer will read your SD card, if another computer will read the SD card and the slot still won't recognize the sd cards properly, then you know at that point the reader is bad. If the reader is bad, thats integrated into the motherboard so the motherboard would need to be replaced.

Acer aspire 7004 flash card slot

Your computer doesn't support compact flash cards. Your SD slot is a 5-in-1 card reader, supporting Secure Digital (SD), MultiMediaCard (MMC), Memory StickĀ® (MS), Memory Stick PRO? (MS PRO), xD-Picture Card? (xD). The big slot is for PCMCIA devices.
