Wheat Bread setting on bread machine does not work.

The wheat bread setting on many machines has a delayed start sometimes as much as 20-30 minutes. Try the wheat setting again with no ingredients in the machine and wait at least a half hour before concluding your mahcine doesn't work. On the stuck paddle: Sometimes they are impossible to remove if someone stored the pan with dough between the spindle and paddle.

reach in with your fingers and bend the two little clips out a little until they grip your pan snugly. Start with 1/4 " and try that. If it doesn't feel snug go another 1/4 inch.... and so on.... until nice and snug...

My Toastmaster TBR2 bread machine does not knead when started. It makes a tick-tock noise and the timer counts down but no mixing. The bread pan is positioned correctly. Why?

Make sure you are programming your machine correctly.

The Instruction Manual indicates three possible problems, none of which would seem to be your problem. Not plugged in, error message or kneading blade missing.

Suggest you review the Instruction Manual for programming your bread maker. Unplug your machine to reset and then plug in and program as directed.

Rotating shaft will not rotate - during the kneading process nothing happens

Hi,
1) Make sure bread pan is inserted in the machine correctly. 2) Take pan out of the machine and make sure the paddle spins freely on the shaft. ( If not, sealed bearing is frozen and pan needs to be replaced. 3) Keep pan out of machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window to see if the motor shaft is turning. If not the belt may have come off , snapped or there is something wrong with the motor or curcit board in the machine . Hank

Why did the kneading paddle on my 1148X bread machine quit working. This happened the third time it was used. It did the initial mixing and resting. When it started the kneading process again, the blade...

Hi, If this is the third time using it, it could be defective. Return it for service. If not under warranty, try a few things. 1) Make sure the pan is inserted in the machine correctly. 2) Make sure that the paddle is not sticking, or the sealed bearing on the bottom of the bread pan is not broken or frozen. (Take pan out and see if you can turn the paddle freely by hand). Or finally, the belt may be loose and slipping, especially when it takes more power to knead the dough the second time. Good luck...Hank

I have never used a breadmaker before, and I followed the directions but don't see it mixing.

Hi,
It could be two things wrong with the machine. To check for a belt that fell off the pulley or has snapped, take the bread pan out of the machine and start a kneading (mixing) cycle. Then look through the lid window and see if the motor shaft is turning. If not then it's probably the belt. If it is turning, then you can try spinning the paddle in the bread pan by hand (while it's out of the machine). If you can't spin it freely, then the sealed bearing is frozen. Try pitting hot water in the pan and soak it. Do this a few times...if it still doesn't move freely then the bearing is broken and the whole bread pan needs to be replaced. Hank

My Sunbeam breadmaker runs all cycles but doesnt mix.Breadpan is

Bread Machine Replacement Parts If you are having problems with your bread machine you may be able to fix it with replacement parts. That is if it is the paddles or the pan you are having problems with. If it is something within the bread machine that is not working properly then you probably won’t have a lot of luck finding these bread machine replacement parts.
Keep in mind the price of the bread machine replacement parts as well. If they are very expensive you will be better off just buying a new bread machine. But, if your bread machine was really expensive and is still in good shape and the replacement parts aren’t that much, then the replacement parts might be a better option for you.
Most bread machines work well for years without the need for replacement parts and many machines have warranties as well. But, if you are having problems then you will need to decide if replacement parts or a new machine are the right option for you. If you need replacement parts then call the manufacturer of your bread machine.

Bread pan pops out during kneading, hard to remove after baking

I have Breadman Ultimate for over 12 years now. I make bread 2-3 times a week for the past 10 years. I found that the bread pan popping out only happens when the motor shaft and the kneading paddle are not tightly engaged. I find this problem in the following two scenarios: 1. The bread pan was not pushed down all the way as described by cassie_hobbs and tlcquiltnut. 2. Debris filled up the motor-shaft bowl underneath the bread pan to prevent a tight engagement of the motor shaft and the kneading paddle. These debris are generated during the kneading process; part of the ingredients is pushed out of the shallow horizontal pan and accumulated underneath. To avoid the problem, I have to periodically remove debris from the shaft bowl and make sure the pan pushed all the way down. To reduce the debris, I made a simple cover for the bread pan by cutting an old aluminum baking dish. I always remove the cover after the kneading cycle to prevent the rising dough from reaching the bottom of the cover. Hope this helps. Wendy
