it was posted in computer desktops so i thought it was for a computer The ProStart remote starter comes with a four-function remote that needs to be programmed at the time of installation It is possible for the remote to hold up to four transmitter codes within its internal memory. In order to "Code Learn" the remotes, you will need to have the car's key accessible as well. If you are not sure how to go about programming the ProStart remote, do not get frustrated. Open the hood of your car by pulling the hood release lever, then turn the Valet switch "Off."Turn the car on by inserting the car key and turning it forward to "On." Do not start your automobile during the programming process. Turn the Valet switch back on, and wait for the parking lights to become illuminated. They will stay lit for five seconds.Press and release the "CH1," or "Button 1," before five seconds have passed after completing the last step. You will see the parking lights flash a total of seven times, five times quickly, and two slowly.Turn your vehicle off by turning the car key backwards to "Off," then take it out completely. After closing your hood, you will be ready to use the ProStart remote.

Sleep mode is a convenient power-saving feature used on both laptops and desktop computers. This feature powers down hard disks, monitors, wireless devices and any other power-consuming peripherals without turning the unit completely off and necessitating a reboot. Sleep mode can prevent battery drain if using a laptop or mobile device while away from the power supply. This mode is useful when quick access to a computer is needed, but can be irritating if the sleep mode takes a long time to come back from. It is simple to turn sleep mode off, based on the operating system being used.

Go to the "Start" button, then click on "Control Panel." In the control panel screen, click "System and Maintenance," then click on "Power Options." This brings you to the "Select a power plan" page. From the "Select a power plan" page, select the option that says "Change plan settings." This changes the settings on the currently selected plan. Select the "Change advanced power settings" option. Click "Sleep" and then click on "Sleep After" to expand it. If using a laptop or mobile PC, click "On battery" and "Plugged in," then select the "Never" option. This turns off sleep mode for both battery and AC use. If you are using a desktop computer, click "Setting," click the arrow and then click "Never" to turn off sleep mode. Click "OK," then click "Save changes" to save the modification. b> Turning Off Sleep Mode - Mac OS b> Click on the Apple logo at the upper left corner of the screen to open the menu and select the "System Preferences" option. From the "System Preferences" screen, click on "Energy Saver." If you are using a desktop, select "Power Adapter" in the top drop-down menu. In the second drop-down menu, select "Custom." Highlight the "Sleep" tab, then adjust the top slider to the far right, marked "Never." I f you wish the display to stay on, adjust the bottom slider to "Never." Click the red button on the upper left side of the "Energy Saver" screen. If you are using a mobile product or laptop, follow step 2 and select "Battery" from the top drop-down menu. Repeat step 3 to change the settings for battery use. Hope this helps.

Sleep Timer Mode

The Sleep Timer mode is an energy-saving feature that enables you to set a time for the monitor to
power on and off at the same time every day. This also extends the life of the backlight bulbs in the
monitor. The Sleep Timer has five settings:
? Set Current Time
? Set Sleep Time
? Set On Time
? Timer: On/Off
? Sleep Now

To set the timer:
1. Press the Menu button on the monitor front panel to display the OSD Menu.
2. Scroll down and highlight Management.
3. Press the OK button to select Management.
4. Scroll down and highlight and select Sleep Timer > Set Current Time.
NOTE: You must set the current local time before you reset the time for Sleep Time or On Time. Note that the time is displayed in a 24-hour clock format. For example, 1:15 p.m. is displayed as 13 hours 15 minutes. A power failure or loss of power to the monitor will cause the timer to reset to 00:00. If this occurs, you will need to reset the sleep timer mode.

5. Press the OK button once to enter the adjustment mode for hours.
6. Press the - (Minus) or + (Plus) button to adjust the hour.
7. Press the OK button again to enter the time for minutes.
8. Press the - (Minus) or + (Plus) button to adjust the minutes.
9. Press the OK button to lock in the time chosen.
10. After setting the current time, the highlight automatically skips to Set Sleep Time. Repeat steps 6 through 9 to set Sleep Time.
11. If you do not want to set Sleep Time, press the OK button twice, then select Save and Return to exit the menu.
12. After setting Sleep Time, the highlight automatically skips to Set On Time. Repeat steps 6 through 9 to set On Time.
13. Set the Timer mode to On to activate the Sleep Timer settings.
14. When you are finished, select Save and Return to exit the menu.

The fifth selection, Sleep Now, turns the monitor backlights off immediately and stays in sleep mode
until the next On Time activates or a monitor button is pressed.

Turn off sleep timer doesn't allow time presets

Ahrin, have you tried going back to where you purchased it? You don't need to take the unit, just go back to the store and have someone demonstrate how to operate it, they may even write the instructions for you if you don't have the owner's manual

Iphone does not ring when in sleep mode

This seemed to work for me;
1.) Reset the phones network settings
2.) Reboot the phone
3.) Put the phone in airplane mode
4.) Reboot the phone
5.) Take the phone out of airplane mode
6.) reboot the phone.
I read this on another website, and it seemed to work for me.
To reboot the iphone hold down the sleep/wake button, and the home button at the same time for 6 seconds (until the apple logo appears).
Good Luck!!

Sounds like you may of put the Laptop into Sleep or Hibernation Mode. If you have a User Manual for your Machine, then have a look on how to Activate/Deactivate Sleep/Hibernation Mode, as it's usually a combination of keys. If you have not got a manual, then let me know the Model Number of your Macjhine and I'll get it for you :-).

Sounds as if the device is now out of the warrenty by now. any Devices like this are common to break down. Im surprised you got 6 years out of the bugger. the companys want you to buy new ones. you can try checking the prostart website fora replacement remote, but the cheapest way out is to goto a wall mart and get a new remote start.
