Try replacing the battery. It sounds like the shutter is not opening at all. Setting the speed to 150 will not make it better, rather the reverse, but you still should get an image.

Either your camera is broken or those film packs you used have gone bad. I hope it's the later case which can be fixed by using a different film pack. Impossible Project makes new film packs for Polaroid 600 series so better use those than old expired Polaroid film packs.

Camera will not turn on when film is loaded

What is the film expiration date? This camera uses film with a battery built into the film pack, there are two metal contacts on the film pack, use a multimeter to check for current, the film has not been made for years now, battery may be dead.

Which Nikon S.L.R. cameras can I use my 70/300mm AF-S Nikor and still maintain auto focus, it is currently on a D40x

Every one (assuming the camera supports autofocus in the first place, of course--old film Nikons didn't). The lens has an autofocus motor, so the camera doesn't need one.

Film Nikons supported autofocus starting with the N2000. (Actually, the F3 also had autofocus capabilities, but used a different system). All the digitals support autofocus.

My daughter bought a Polaroid One Step camera at a yard sale, but the battery is dead. Is there a way to change the battery?

Polaroid OneStep cameras have the battery built-in to the film back. If you are using Polaroid 600 film, simply change the film cartridge.

95 Film Polaroid captiva SLR

You can find Polaroid 95 or 600 on Ebay. It is very expensive. A lot of 600 exposures will run $1500.00 or ther was 40 exposures for $200.00. Needless to say it isnt made anymore. The battery is actually in the film pack. No film, no working camera.

you'll need to get into the guts of the camera and see if the shutter release is jammed. pressing the button closes a switch that advances the print motor and a cam that stops the motor when one print goes through the rollers.
