Coby mp3 mpc7095 wont turn on

All the sudden after adding some mp3 songs, the player wont turn on and the touch pad light stays on until the battery dies. I had the same problem when i bought it and exchanged it....now one year later still the same problem. The reset button works but when i turn it off, the touchpad stays on and it wont turn on anymore. As anyone been able to solve this problem ? Many thanks.

I have the EXACT same problem. I added a couple of songs on to my MP3 player last night (need less to say it's the same one; it's pretty much my baby, portable life. I have the 2 GB instead of 1 GB.) Nothing pops up when I plug it in my computer either. I can't add music to it anymore.
Now the keypad just glows the red and wont do anything! It's a huge F*CK MY LIFE at this point for me!
I Just found the reset button and reset it and nothing. Needless to say, I have no more warranty on it since I got it for Christmas back in 2007! I loved this thing because of the red glow :[. I was willing to by the touch screen one, but I read some reviews on how Sh!ty the product is.

I work for Coby technical support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

Thanks for using FixYa.

If the unit is no longer turning on after being adequately charged, unfortunately, it needs to be replaced. The unit can not be fixed. The warranty is 90 days from the date of purchase. The only option available to you through the manufacturer would be an out of warranty replacement for $31.

If you feel this solution doesn't deserve a good rating, please let me know why so that I may better assist you. If there is anything more I can do to help, I will!

Coby mp4 shuts off after about 7 mins

I had the same problems with my player i took it apart and there was a little chip connected to the battery terminal wires, i removed the little black chip which is a sensor for the batteries to prevent damage to the unit and I removed it and resoldered the wires the battery terminals and now it works perfect.

Coby mp-833

Hello,

If your adding music to the device and its not playing, its because your audio files are not the correct format. This unit only plays MP3 audio or Uncopyrighted Windows Media Audio files. You can test this by connecting the MP3 player, copy one of the sampe audio files under 'My Music' location on your computer and paste it on your mp3 player. It will play the audio fine.

How to play: Hold in play button until red ligh is steady, then press Play again to start the audio.

Make sure you remove any audio file that is not the correct format.

to check format of song:

right click the song, go to properties, under properties it will say 'Type of File', make sure this says MP3, thats the safest way to go.

Red Light Stays On.

i think that you need to let it charge ,& then try to play it ,or try to shuffle the music after you install it

Coby mpc7095 2gb player has lots of songs on it but PC won't pick them up

I changed the settings in system tools >USB settings to MCS mode and then you can access all lthe files on your coby player through your PC and move them into the appropriate folder. It seems all your music has to go into the music folder. The Coby player isn't the most user friendly and is buggy. If they fix the programming, it would be a good competitor to ipod.
