Question about DISH Network ViP622 DVR DTV Receiver / 180-Hours Video Recorder
My satellite got unplugged. When I tried to plug everything back in the people on the screen are blue. The other colors seem fine and the second television's screen is fine (it is hooked to the same receiver). I don't think that I altered the colors on the television. Did I plug a cord in wrong?
Most likely you are connected to your TV via component video (green, blue, and red). The first thing I would check is the red cable making sure it is plugged in all the way to both the TV as well as the sat rcvr.

Hello, my name is Matthew Gonzales with DISH Network customer service. If you are still having this issue there are a couple things you can try if you have not. First, unplug the receiver from the power outlet it is connected to, leave it unplugged for about 20 seconds, then plug it back in. Your receiver goes through a rebooting process which takes about 5 minutes. Another thing to check is making sure that all of the "satellite in" connections are hand tight from the back of the receiver to the wall. The next thing to try is a check switch test. To do a check switch test, you press menu on your DISH remote, then press the numbers 6-1-1, (system setup-installation-point dish) you should be on the point dish screen. Go up and select "check switch" on the right-hand side, on the installation summary, select "test" at the bottom. The receiver will do some tests, if you get a warning 836 at the end, select "cancel" on the warning. Cancel out of all the menus and once again you will let your receiver reacquire the signal, and see if the problem persists. If problems do continue, a technician will be needed at the home to correct the problem. I hope this helps, but if you are still having this issue, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get everything back up and running.

Hello, this is Matthew Gonzales with DISH Network customer service. If you are not getting satellite signal, the problem can several different things, but here are a few things you can try. First, try a hard reset. To do a hard reset, you unplug the receiver from its power outlet, wait 15 seconds then plug it back in. The next step would be double checking you satellite cable. On the back of the receiver there should be a cable connected where it says "Satellite in", make sure this cable is secured from the receiver to the wall. After you do these steps, try running a check switch test (menu-6-1-1-check switch-test). If you are still not receiving satellite signal, a technician will be needed at the home to fix the issue. If this has not been resolved, please feel free to email me at email@example.com.
