ERROR E001 & E004 PCR-T470

Hi,
I lost power, have battery back up on register, but the register won't allow me to continue programming. I turned power off at wall, held down feed key, turned power back on at wall, receiving this message: BT-INIT, hit cash button then subtotal button and now see INIT with a bunch of zero's.
I'm in the middle of programming and need it to reset or something?
Thank you,
Lis

Hi.
You have performed the flag clear incorrectly and now the machine is trying to do an entire RAM clear. You may have already lost everything. Make sure you do not type any numbers while it is like this.

Try this:

Turn key to PROGRAM mode.
Turn power off at wall.
Hold FEED down.
Turn power on at wall.
When you see '0.00' on display, let go of RECEIPT FEED.
Press SUBTOTAL

I have casio ce-3700 cash register and i have problem E04 and noies come beep any one help me plz.

This is caused by incomplete initialisation. it means the program may be corrupt from being unplugged for too long, or you may have a bad battery inside the machine (change it every five years).
Firstly, try a flag clear to jump it back to REG mode:
Turn power off at wall Turn key to program position Hold down RECEIPT FEED button. Keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED Press SUBTOTAL
Turn key back to REG mode and try it. If the programming is corrupt, you will often see the decimal point in the wrong place.
If you want to re-program it, there is a manual for the CE-3700 here:

I had posted this problem once before hopefully get assisted this time. I purchased a casio TE-4500F register with scanner I had to reinitialise it to clear old data, and reset it now the scanner red light...

Hi. This is normal. Unless you made a backup, you will have lost a lot of system programming. Firstly you must make sure you have initialised it with the code for scanning and not check tracking. To do this:
Turn key to program mode 5 SUBTOTAL SUBTOTAL
This will print the memory allocation. Next to file 16, you should see a figure in the thousands (usually 6000).
Next you need to allocate the I/O port for the scanner. Try this:
Turn key to program mode 3 SUBTOTAL 298 SUBTOTAL 2000 CASH SUBTOTAL
Now perform a flag clear to set the new I/O:
Turn key to PROGRAM mode. Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL.
Turn back to REG mode and try it. You might have to log a clerk back on after the flag clear. See how you get on.

Casio CE-4630

Hi.
I don't have an error list for the 4630, but you could try a flag clear first. this will not cause any data loss:

Turn key to PROGRAM mode.
Turn power off at wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep holding it.
Turn power on at wall.
Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF"
Press SUBTOTAL
Wait for print, then turn back to REG mode.

If that doesn't work, let me know.

Te-2200 does'nt work

Hi.
You may have lost all of the programming.
I need to see the MAC code.

Turn key to PROGRAM mode.
Turn power off at wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED down.
Turn power on at wall.
When you see 'FFFFFFFFFF' on display, let go of RECEIPT FEED.
Press SUBTOTAL

Now look at the print out and tell me what the big number is right at the bottom.

Casio CE-3700 lockup

Hi,
It sounds like you have a flat, or faulty backup battery. The machine has probably lost all programming. This is common if the machine has been stored.

Try this:

Turn key to program.
Turn power off at wall.
Hold JOURNAL FEED.
Turn power on at wall.
When you see '000000000' or 'LLLLLLLLLL' type 21151 (for Europe), or type 12300 (for USA) then press SUBTOTAL

If you still have trouble, just let me know.

Tk2200 cash register on p/up says init and error code will not clear

Oh dear. That could be bad. it is telling you that it wants to lose everything and start again. we don't have that model, but I can try a flag clear with you, and it sometimes will have the program intact. It usually happens if the machine has been stored too long, or the battery has failed.

Turn the key to program mode.
Turn the power off at the wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED button down. make sure it is receipt feed, NOT journal feed.
Turn power on at wall, and keep holding button down.
Wait 10 seconds.
Now let go of RECEIPT FEED, and you should see 'FFFFFFFFF' on the display.
Press SUBTOTAL. It should print out after a few seconds. If it doesn't, press SUBTOTAL again.
Check the print out, and you will see a copyright message etc. Look at the bottom right of the paper, and you should see a big number there. If it has all zeros there, then you have lost everything, and you'll need to start from scratch. Otherwise, turn key back to reg mode, and try it.

If you get stuck, just let me know.

Hi. I would advise both of you to try a flag clear first to see if you have any program left.

Turn key to program. Power off at wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED, and turn power on at wall.
Wait 10 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED.
When you see 'FFFFFFFFF' press SUBTOTAL.
Turn key back to REG and try it.

If you still need help, let me know.

Error code E03

Hi. It could be bad. Your battery has probably failed long ago, and it needed to use it when the power went off. try this:

Turn key to PROGRAM mode.
Power off at wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED down while turning power back on at wall.
Wait 10 seconds.
Let go of button. You should see 'FFFFFFFFF' on display.
Press SUBTOTAL
Check the printout. Look under the copyright at the bottom right, and you should see a number e.g 10801 or similar. If it's all zeros, you have lost everything, and it will need to have the batt changed and fully reprogrammed. Otherwise, turn to REG mode, and try it.
