Question about Magnum S9 Base CB Radio

I have a rm kl 203p amp would it be okay to hook it up with a magnum s9 50watt radio

Or should i just buy a magnum s9 80 watt radio and not use the kl 203p amp

I am looking to buy either a dx48t or dx95t


both are hi powered,approx 140 to 150 watts, radios that need about 14 amps of power to be safe,watts divided by volts=amps needed.if you want to plug and talk i suggest something 80 watts or less.

Generally All CB Radios will only push 4 watts. This is only if you have a SWR of 1:1

Magnum 257 which amps will work with.


you can use any amp with any radio.

they must be setup to do so.

You just have to lower your RF power so that the radio is putting out about a 2 watt dead key. Any higher and you will over drive the finals and burn out the final

okay u will have to troubleshoo the amp.....dose the amp light up?...when u have the radio on? also check your sub wires.going to the amp....make sure the rca'sare hooked up to the radio rear out puts are the radio sub out puts...and then test your amp gain adjustment...let me know if that work's
