I think I answer you question--when?? Take the good CCTV camera and hook it up to monitor. Then hook up the CCTV camera and turn it on. Point the working CCTV camera at the bad camera that is turn on. Now, look at the monitor which is working with your operational camera. Look at the bad camera while it on, and see how many IR LED's you can see on the bad CCTV, while it turn on. You should be able to the IR LED glowing red. If not, then there is a problem with bad CCTV IR LED's. Short wire, no power to the IR LED's. stewbison

Cctv camera wire pulled off

a simple web search for "scart socket connections" will find details of what signals each pin of a scart connector carry. however, your problem is knowing what signals the wires from your cctv camera carry. only the camera manufacturer, or a service engineer familiar with it, can tell you that.

Cctv wavy lines from camera

often problems with lines is either down to RF or if all the cameras are powered of the same psu that it could be that your psu is underated and the cameras are pulling to many amps most moden cameras rum anything from 200mas upto 1.5amps with infra red so if you only have a 500ma psu its going give up slowely

Installed wireless cctv in horse stables 4 mt x 6mt dont seem to

the gain is turned up to much this is washing out the camera
another possible cause is the auto iris lens is either not set properly or stuck open.

if you are using a "bullet" camera that may not be adjustable without opening it up and removing the camera from the aluminum housing.

its usually a tiny screw that you turn up or down. could also be that the CCD or cmos image chip is dying

Getting my samtron to work on my cctv

Not all DVRs have WORKING VGA output. I used to work for Nuvico, and we had 2 different versions for DVRs. Ones with VGA connection. The other with non-working VGA connection. VGA port itself does not guarantee. Some DVRs also have DIP switch in the back. You can simply toggle between composite or VGA output. Ones with DIP switches often require reboot, and from my experience these do not work well with VGA monitors. Also... Make sure VGA monitor support low resolution. Stand-alone DVRs' native resolution is either 600 or 800 horizontal lines.
It will help alot if I know the model of DVR/CCTV
