Type CHKDSK q: /F
where 'q:' is the drive-letter assigned by Windows to your Samsung.
If you get a message about "disk is locked - delay disk-check until next reboot", click OK, and shutdown/reboot Windows.
When "check-disk" has finished, any correctable errors will have been corrected.
Before we convert BU to AVI, we need to figure out what is BU file format. BU files are uncommon files primarily associated with a Samsung DVR like CCTV (Closed-circuit television) recording system. Bu files contain surveillance video in a proprietary Samsung format and are playable on Samsung devices or with Samsung's video software. When you are trying to open a .BU file on Windows, Mac, media players, iOS, other portable devices, you will get the info that BU files are not supported by them.
To convert BU to AVI, we need a converting tool. Find Cicever BU Converter to have a try. It also provides a nice guide on how to convert BU to AVI here: http://www.cicever.com/how-to/bu-converter-player.html
From your post Its not clear that either you are talking about Hard disk or Compaq disk.
If its Compaq disc ( CD ) make sure its Rewriteable or if its hard drive make sure nirtual memory is not allocated to that part and also no application or software is running.
try setting the time to something different (Like a day and hour from the current setting) than the current time and see if that come up if so then set the system to the current time and date and check again, if that solves your problem great if not reset your system and reprogram it.
•Factory Reset Hidden Key : Mode Key + CH 2 •The Password and all setting value will return to the initial default value. •Default Password is ‘4321’ .

If you are hooking your cameras into the SMO-151qn then you can use the pigtail cable to connect to the Shr-1040. Make sure the video out from the SMO-151qn goes into the video in of the Shr-1040. If there is a choice
use CH1. On the Shr-1040 hold down the mode button and press CH2 for about 10 seconds. The Shr-1040 should reboot. Once it comes up press the record button. After recording for a feww minutes stop the recording. On the SMO-151qn press the button on the front Live/Vcr. You should see the screen from your Shr-1040. IF you hit play you should see what you recorded.
