We are having problems with our zanussi da6141 dishwasher, it works on rinse hold, but when you set it to A it goes through the cycle upto point B, then gets so far round and keeps running, the knob stays...

If you examine the thermostat then you must check the pressure switch and timer. Could be: pressure switch stuck in a state of full (timer by level) or stuck contacts timer and timer motor is energaized and moves forward to the next cycle. You you can not exclude a mechanical failure of timer. There are so many reasons.

Float Switch

The float switch may be hung up and this can cause the dishwasher to be stuck in a cycle. Check the tutorial and the video for checking this part.

Timer / Control

If your dishwasher gets stuck in a cycle first try shutting off the breaker for at least 5 minutes if this does not correct the problem you will need to replace the timer / electronic control.

HI our Indesit IDE 750 dishwasher gets stuck on the first cycle and the timer doesn't count down. Switching it off and restarting drains the water, but it gets stuck at the same point in the cycle

This sounds like a heating element issue, If the water doesn't get warm it just keeps trying to heat but won't advance past this point until it has reached a set temperature. You dishwasher may or may not be fitted with a thermal overload that may have tripped, Unplug the dishwasher, Remove the lower kick panel and look for a small circular metal sensor with 2 or 3 wires on it attached to the basepan of the dishwasher, Check to see if it has a red button in the middle and if it's there push it then re-assemble and try again, otherwise it's a visit from the serviceman unfortunately.

Dishwasher keeps getting stuck on wash programme

Hi, it's most likely pausing in wash cycle because it is not heating, most d/w timers will loose power to the timer motor until the wash tub has reached a desired temperature, if its not heating the water it will not advance, although it still could be the timer it self but most likely a faulty heater element or thermostat, does the timer advance at all?
If so where timer dial pauses (gets stuck) open door and check water temp (just feel) and close door give it 10Min's or a bit more and water should get alot hotter (anywhere from 45°c to 75°c) note if it is hot fill water may be hot but not hot enough to trigger temp thermostat to activate timer, if your handy and can see its not heating try to check the Resistance of thermos and heater

Bosch dishwasher shu4322 has code 1 aqua sensor what is the sensor do and where is it located

Most of the dishwasher has a Thermal hold period in which the machine will not advance to the next cycle until the water temperature reaches a specific degree. it is possible that your aqwa sensor/or heater is bad OR as in most of the cases, the Timer relay that is responsible in turning the heater on is stuck open, in this case you need a new timer. So,Check Timer/Aqua sensor/Heater
