How to put music

To copy music files onto your device:
  1. Connect your MP3 player to your computer using your USB cable. Switch your MP3 player to the MTP mode by pressing the power button located on the top of your player. When the USB symbol disappears your MP3 player is in the MTP mode.
  2. Opening your GPX audio player folder by clicking 'Start' on your computer.
  3. Click on 'Start'.
  4. Double Click on the 'GPX MTP Device' icon.
  5. Double Click on 'Removable Storage'. Minimize your 'Removable Storage' window.
  6. Open your 'My Music' folder by again clicking on 'Start' and then click on your 'My Music' folder. Choose an album or individual songs from this folder. With both your 'My Music' and 'GPX MTP Device Removable Storage' folder open. Drag an album or individual song from your 'My Music' folder into your 'Removable Storage' folder.

How do i add and take music off

take the usb cable that came with your player, and plug into your computer and your player, After you plug in the player set it to MTP instead of USB, by using the top right button. Windows will ask what you want to do, select sync with windows media player. once wmp is open, go to your sync tab abd drag and drop music into the mp3 player pane, when you have all the music you want or you are out of space, click the "start sync" button at the lower right. Helpful hint "make sure all files are the same type, mp3,acc,wma.... you will fit alot more songs on the player."
Then if you want to take off only a few songs, just plug in the player and start Windows Media, select your mp3 player from the list on the left, the just left click to hi-light the song and press delete on the keyboard, click yes if asked "are you sure you want to delete"? Or you can format if you want to start fresh.

How do I download music on my mp3 player? I bought the mp3 player(gpxml638b) and it did not have any soft ware. I have the wire to plug from mp3 to computer, but how do I start downloading music?

Sir,

1. Turn on the MP3 Player by holding the PLAY/PAUSE button.
2. Take the USB Cord and plug the corresponding ends into the MP3 Player and a Computer.
3. When connected the LCD Display will either say “USB” or “MTP”.
4. Press the “M” (mode) button to switch between “USB” and “MTP” mode.
“MTP” mode will only work, when your player is connected to Microsoft
® Windows® XP and Windows® Media Player 10.
The MP3 Player will only work in “USB” mode when it is connected to Windows® 98SE, ME, or 2000 Professional.

1. Start Windows Media Player 9 and connect the MP3 Player to your computer.
2. Click “Copy to CD or Device”.
3. In the drop-down list, on the “Items to Copy” pane, click the play list, category, or other item that you want to copy.
4. Clear the check boxes next to any files you do not want to copy.
5. In the drop-down list, on the “Items to Copy” pane, click the device that you want to copy files to.
6. Click the ‘Copy’ button.
7. Repeat steps 2-5 for any other items that you want to copy to your unit.

1. Start Windows Media Player 10 and connect the unit to your computer. On your player’s display it should say ‘MTP’. If not, then while the unit is connected press the ‘M’ (mode) button to change from ‘USB’ to ‘MTP’ mode.
2. If you have not set up synchronization between your computer
and this device, the Device Setup Wizard starts. In the Device Setup Wizard, select Manual.
3. Click Finish.
4. Select Library option. On the right pane select Sync List.
5. From the left pane you can select the Play list or Library and you will see the content songs in the center pane.
6. Select the songs from the center pane, drag and add them to the Sync List.
7. Click the ‘Start Sync’ button in the Sync List pane.
8. Repeat steps 4-7 for any other items that you want to copy to your unit.

Thanks
Good Luck

When I go to sync music from Windows Media Player, it says "It is not possible to change sync settings at this time. Try again later." What can i do to get it to work?

If you normally create a profile for your GPX on your desktop computer. Delete that profile, and then add back your GPX to your computer via the cable and it should work. I presume you are using windows XP?

My MW3836 won't sync

This is Kamunitsu. For Your GPX Audio Player-SD/MMc card in a memory card that slides in the side of your player. SD Translated as origin, (Side Card) Select Option: GPX Audio Player. And make sure that the code (or) storage type located in the memory file of your guide, make sure your player supports that file. The supported media player file and your GPX player file have to match in size, length, and Type.

1- Check that your MP3 Player's File system is OK, you can do that using the DOS command (chkdsk /f). 2- Re-install your Windows Media Player 11. 3- Don't forget to update your system, too.
