Wiring to elete7 Lowrance fish finder

Yes you must wire it Arthur :-) You realise you have no question just a statement?

Wire it direct to the battery via an inline fuse. If you have two batteries don't wire it to the starter battery, use the Auxillary. If you check the Lowrance site there will almost certainly be installation instructions. I am a Humminbird guy. I am sure there is a Lowrance Facebook page with lots of knowledgeable people. The Humminbird one is very good.

The diagram for the fish finder has two cables for power. does each cable have a wire going to a hot lead and a groundand a bond or do you just need to connect only one wire

Hi
One of the two cables is for power to the battery while the other supplies power to the transducer. BOTH cables (+ and -) must be used and intact.
In case anyone requires it, here is the link to the installation manual.
Hope this helps.

Wire a lowrance elite 5

Lowrance has started using the same power cord on their Elite units and their HDS units. The yellow wire on the power cable is an accessory wake up wire designed to be used in conjunction with the structure scan modules for the HDS.
You can simply tape this wire off during your installation ND ignore it.
