I wouldn't! It should still be under warrantee if it is new. Go back to the dealer or contact Bosch on the web and have them rectify the problem!

SOURCE: Glass Stovetop

"F1" is an Electronic Oven Control (EOC) Board failure error code. The top stove functions will continue to operate normally, but you probably will not have any bake or broil capabilites as this board controls all your oven functions. This is a very simple repair that you can accomplish yourself, but the price may be something to consider.

Searspartsdirect.com has the part listed under the "Backguard" heading as item number 20 (part #316101001) and lists for $174.

Repairclinic.com has the part listed as item number 496226 and lists for slightly less at $170.

If you do not have a warranty or service plan in place, you, unfortunately, will have to suffer the cost. If you wish to pursue this as a do-it-yourself repair, let me know and I will give you easy step-by-step instructions on how to replace it. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you have further questions.

SOURCE: glass top is scratched no matter what I do. oven doesn't work ri

glass top stoves are not designed to do canning on, sorry. the only thing you can do for the top is that special cleaner as it has a "wax" in it and will help to prevent stains, but not scratches.
remember your top is glass and it will scratch.
your oven can be calibrated to help it to bake better. what you need to do is make sure you have a temperature problem that can be corrected by calibration. try to just set the oven temps up or down 10 or 20 degrees and try to bake the same items. if this helps then you can reset the calibration of the control as per your owners manual, if you dont have one then i can tell you how if you can tell me the brand and model.

SOURCE: Drexia clarifying previous post on gas range stovetop cleaning.

I have found that kitchen cleanser and a crub pad along with good old fashioned elbow grease is your best bet...

The fine scratches might come out with a good rubbing compound like the type used on car finishes...

Scratches ceramic stove top

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you have scratches on the ceramic stove top of your Frigidaire rage, model# FEF366. Small scratches do not affect cooking and will become less visible with time. To prevent any further scratches, make sure you do not use any abrasive cleaners. These can scratch your stove top even more. Try not to use cookware with rough bottoms. These can mark or scratch the cooktop surface. Try not sliding any metal or glass across your cooktop. This includes sliding your pans as well. Coarse particles such as salt or sand between cooktop and utensils can cause scratches. Be sure your cooktop surface and bottoms of utensils are clean before usage. I hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

My 1994 Lincoln Mark Vlll rear window have humps or bubbles around the outside edge.is there a fix for this problem?

If it is in the glass- no. If it is around the glass or trim, remove trim and remove rust, treat/seal the rust and repaint. Use care as back glass usually is tempered instead of laminated.

I need to replace the glass cooktop on my Maytag electric stove

  1. Open oven door and remove two screws that secure top.
  2. Lift up front and slide forward about 8 inches so that you can disconnect two wire couplings.
  3. Place on table upside down(I put newspaper down to catch the broken shards of glass) and remove burner unit (1piece, 4 screws).
  4. Place old burners on new stovetop in the same position as original.
  5. Remove 4 white plastic shims (round) from old stovetop and put on new stovetop.
  6. Tighten all screws and then sit it back on stove (two front tabs fit into slots) and then insert screws into holes and tighten.
  7. Took about 20 minutes, including vacuuming broken glass from inside burners and cleaning grease form crevices between burners and old stovetop.
  8. Wrap old stovetop in the newspapers that are underneath it and place it all in a plastic garbage bag to avoid any broken glass from falling out.

Control Lock light is on and nothing works on my stovetop

Hi. Research your stovetop on the kitchenaid website. You should be able to download a user manual for your model. The manual should tell you how to reset the lock. If a manual is not available, try disconnecting the power supply to the stove. This might clear the memory of the stove. Good luck. ricardok45

How to remove burnt grease, fix lightly scratched black stovetop?

Hi, I assume we are talking about a flat glass top. First the bad news. using any abrasives will permanently scratch the glass hence the dull spot. You can however make it look a little better. Grease spots and the like can be removed with a flat razor blade scraper which needs to be held flat to avoid the corners making scratches. Use any good glass/ceramic cooktop cleaner ( which is the ONLY cleaner you should ever use ) (available in your local grocery diy store and some hardware stores). The cleaner is a thick liquid, put about a dime size drop on each burner area and use a paper towel to buff out the finish like waxing a car. Once it looks clean flip your paper towel over and shine the top to like new. Good Luck!

Scratched screen

Hello godom, It will depend on how bad is the scratch. For deeper scratches there isn't no fix. For smaller ones there is a specially made scrach fixing paste or something like this, that may be found in some computer stores or electronic/phone service centers. PLEASE NOTE ! Your display is a touchscreen type. The top part of your display - the one you touch, is not made of glass or plastic but a kind of polymer acrilic or similar based materials. Most scrach fixes work and are designed for plastic or glass surfaces. Please instruct or remind this to the person that will attempt the fix. Otherwise it can damage the touchscreen or reduce it's brightness or sharpness. Hope this helps.
