Turn off unit supply and check the blower wheel inside the indoor unit by rotating it manually by your finger if the blower wheel rotates freely then there is something wrong with your fan motor or fan motor capacitor. But if the blower wheel is not rotating freely try to check the fan motor for lubrication or some bushing dried of and no oil

check capacitor on outside unit,or gas is leaking.
try to reset(small black button in inside unit under the cover)

5 flashing is ' compressor drive' and check the high pressure, condenser fan motor capacitor for proper running

Comms Error, check your wiring, remove external pumps. Split/Multi - check volts from terminal N to 3 = 0 - 65 Vdc, Multi V - 4 Vdc terminals 3 and 4

Most of the time once every season so once a year same time you clean the filters. But being thats its the cheaper chinese made heavy industries and not the better quality japanese made mitsubishi electric i would say once every 3-6 months
