Question about Mitsubishi Televison & Video
Replaced bulb in the DLP tv and when I went to turn it on, it stayed on for about 15secs and powered itself off. The message it showed was, Power loss please check the time and reset if necessary.

This also worked on my Pt-52DL52 Panasonic also by pushing the Blue action button on the remote and the volume down button on the TV. But first wait until the replace bulb warning light is off, then do it.

Did you use a generic replacement? Many TVs have a dark picture after replacing the original lamp with a generic. The other issue I've encountered are TVs that have been exposed to cigarette smoke will develop a dark, discolored picture over a relatively short time.

Try the following:
If you need to get into the service menu, you can do so by following these directions:
With power on, hold down VOL minus button on projection display and hold down the PIP or SPLIT button (try both) on the remote simultaneously for more than 5 seconds.
You can also click here to get more instructions if the above do not work. See post # 4.

Hi,Sometimes its something simple.Did you close the door cover,it has a switch that wont let lamp power on if its not pressed.Did you reset the lamp timer? you can do this by unplugging the tv wait 5 min and plug it back again.Any strange noises like clicking or buzzing sounds? If you heard clicking it will be an issue w the board that powers the lamp its called the ballast. If you heard buzzing it could be an issue with the color wheel, which is a small disc that creates tyhe colors on your tv. Last question did you get the Original Philips lamp or a generic? If you got a generic send it back for testing or get refund and get yourself the original.Email me if you have further questions at firstname.lastname@example.org have a blessed life!
