Samsung V25 notebook Tft failure

The power/data lead that runs the TFT screen has a multi pin plug attached. it plugs into a multi pin socket just to the left of the on/off button for the laptop (beneath the cooling fan cover) The multi pin plug has broken off the lead. How to fix broken TFT background lighting?

I tougth it is better if you replace your TFT in one package. Too much time to be cost if you try to fix the backlight. But you can try this video after you sure that your backlight is the problem by installing another undefected TFT

Screen is dim

it is either the backlight or the inverter.
On Ebay I see the TFT screen for this Dell Mini 1018 for 42$.
Meanwhile you may use external monitor.

Want to connect laptop to tv?

If you are using a LCD/TFT tv it will have HDMI and VGA inputs.
You only need a simple vga lead but this only transfers video not sound.
You can get a usb to hdmi lead, you can also plug in audio leads from your headphone socket and this will transfer video and audio.

Need to know how to wire the power socket at back of v25

Have you determined the problem correctly?
The fault maybe the power adapter or the power plug that connects into the laptop's power socket rather than the power socket on the laptop.

Check power adapter’s DC plug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltage should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that is printed on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced.
If the adapter is OK then connect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard.
This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. The power socket is soldered directly onto the motherboard, there is no wiring required.
If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

I have 3 colored vertical thin lines running vertical on my desk top screen, how do I get rid of them? thank you

Does it do this if you attach an external screen and view windows through the external screen. If not, then you have a fault with the TFT panel on the laptop. This would require a replacement TFT panel.

I have a ibm think pad laptop. the text has gone red

You have a TFT failure - to confirm if it is not m/board related plug and external monitor to the external vga port and boot the unit. If the display to the external is ok then your TFT requires replacement.

Samsung V25 fan replacement

It may not be the fan, I have a V25 and it was the motherboard, it wouldnt power the fans anymore when the CPU required it so would crash lots.

If the fans twitch or run for a second or two when you first turn the laptop on then it's the motherboard that is faulty.

Careful with the monitor to motherboard plug as I damaged mine and the screen is now a permanent shade of blue.

You need to dig around on your machine and find the program the machine came with which controls power usage and adjust the PLUGGED IN versus BATTERY settings; they have gotten reset somehow. Check first in the system tray in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

Good luck...
