Here's what you should do: 1. Press and hold the Home button below the screen for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits. 2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. 3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. If it continues to freeze 1. Reset iPhone settings. From the Home screen choose Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. All your preferences are reset, but no data or media is deleted. 2. If that doesn't work, erase all content on iPhone. From the Home screen choose Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. All your preferences and other data are removed from iPhone. 3. If that doesn't work, restore the iPhone software.

IPhone touch screen not working

Have you tryed restoreing the iphone?

Restore
  • Note: Because Restore erases all of the songs and files on iPod, make sure to back up any files you've saved on the iPod disk. All of your songs, videos, podcasts, audiobooks, and games can be loaded back to your iPod provided that you have them stored in your itunes Library.
How to restore your iPod:
For Windows:
  • 1. Make sure you've reinstalled the latest version of itunes.
  • 2. Open itunes, and then connect your iPod to your computer.
  • 3. After a few moments, it will appear in the source list in itunes.
  • 4. Select your iPod in the source list and you will see information about it appear in the Summary tab of the main itunes windows.
  • 5. Click the Restore button. You will be prompted with one or more restore options that may prompt itunes to automatically download of the latest iPod Software. The 4 possible restore options are:
    • Restore Option 1: Restore - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod.
    • Restore Option 2: Use Same Version - Restores with same iPod Software version already on iPod even though a newer version is available.
    • Restore Option 3: Use Newest Version - Restores with the latest iPod Software on your computer.
    • Restore Option 4: Restore and Update - Restores with the latest iPod Software on your computer.
  • 6. A progress bar will appear on the computer screen indicating that the first stage of the restore process has started. When this stage is completed, itunes will instruct you to leave iPod connected to your computer to complete restore.
  • 7. During the stage 2 of the restore process, the iPod will show an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remains connected to the computer or iPod Power adapter during this stage. Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see since the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
  • 8. After stage 2 of the restore process is complete and the iPod is connected to the computer, the itunes Setup Assistant window will appear asking you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences similar to when you connected your iPod for the first time.

I cant download to my ipod i cant get sync in itunes..how do i download songs to my ipod

You just need to import your songs into iTunes library, then make a playlist with the songs, connect your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect the iPod automatically, then click iTunes menu "File -> Sync iPod", the songs will be transferred from iTunes to iPod.
If iTunes not works for you, You may try this ipod transfer, it's a nice iTunes alternative that can help you manage iPod files including delete, upload, play, copy, etc. It's much easier to use than iTunes.

Freeze

Try holding the top right power button and the home button together (ignore power slide button) until the Apple logo appears. If this does not work try this-

Hold sleep and top right button until phone goes off (ignore the slide power off).
Boot up iTunes on your computer and get your USB cable ready. Hold home button
and plug phone into iTunes and let iTunes do its thing. Hopefully iTunes should
sort out the majority of glitches.

Hope this helps

Music just stops playing

I had the same problem about a week after I got the iPhone and fixed it the only way I know - turn it off and back on again.
Hold down the button on the top of the phone until it restarts (there is a video tip on this on the iPhone section of Apple.com).
For me the problem went away and the it has worked perfectly since.
Good luck.

My ipod won't play songs I bought from itunes, and it won't let me download new ones.

Unfortunately, if you did not back up your music, the songs cannot be recovered. iTunes allows for one download of a song purchased.
