Question about Televison & Video

3 Answers

Received a 10" Venturer PLV16100 for Christmas. Thought it was ready to watch when I opened the box. Do not have cable where the tv will be watched. What type of antenna must I purchase, and will I need a converter box too? Thank you for your help.

The PLV16100 has a build-in DTV tuner. You do not need a converter box. A regular rabbit ear would be sufficient providing you live in a strong signal area.

You may or may not need an antenna; it depends on the signal strength in your area. Here's a link to a good explanation from the NY Times.

Have an exact remote replacement for venturer plv16100 Tv. How do I get it to work with my set?

To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls.Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability.
Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brandyou have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack.Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/Check this site too.http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops.
Type in the brand name of your device, in the search box [at the top right] of the display window and the Search will start at once as you type in, and will show you all the related posts. It will make surf easy.

My 19" Venturer TV will not turn on

  • 1 Check the antenna. Adjust it to see if the picture improves. Confirm that the antenna cable is firmly connected. Check to see that input cables are connected.

  • 2 Scroll through the channels to determine if the problem is specific to a station. Check any video sources (i.e. cable box). Make sure all cables are connected tightly.
  • 3 Check for interference. Power off all nearby devices one by one to see if any of them are creating the lines.
  • 4 Power off the TV for 30 minutes before turning it back on.

It looks like you got a bad Power Surge thought your Power Cable. There is a card in your TV that handles that. Unfortunately their is little you can do but bite the bullet and pay to have it fixed. First call Samsung and ask if this has happened to anyone else.

I also received the RMC10 and I am having programing probs.
Instructions say to turn on the device manually
hold code key down until steady
    select tv (or other device)
light will begin to blink (it is trying to find the device code)
when your device turns off you should push enter to save the code.
I am afraid that I have an off brand tv.
Hope that this helped! Merry Christmas!

What channel do you have your TV on...3 or 4? Match that setting on your V5500, hit the TV/VCR button and you should have onscreen whatever channel the cable box is on.
