Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook

I have a dell latitude D600 it starts up but then it will ask for a password. I know it needs a word pass code is there a way I could bypass this?

    This is before it boots windows, I hope this helps. I think it says a primary password is need.

    on retstart press keys to go into setup

    I can't tell you exactly where cause evryones pc is different

    but anyways you will find a setting in there which will say something like user password you need to disable that

    click on it then enter change to disable and then press F10 to save and exit

    On the otherhand if this could be an administrator password if so you will need to go about prob differently but I can help

My daughters dell lap top has suddenly began asking her for a password. no password was ever required prior. i did try to repair by prewssing f2 at start up and entering the security tad and iether reenter...


Boot up in safe mode (Hold F8 key at startup) Log in as 'Administrator' Go to start menu, control panels, users Reset the password for the account you want. Restart.

go to the safe mode and login to the admin account and than go to control panel and user accounts and change an account select the account and than remove password and restart the system

hmmm..well..from what I know of this, you'll need to completely re install the software, and even, perhaps, format your drive, to bypass this issue. Can't use the password hint to jog your memory?
