I have the same problem with a new lg unit...it will trip the breaker after a few minutes of being on.

After calling Vornado Corporation, they suggested that the room temperature monitor might be failing as it read 65 degrees no matter where you started the heater. I took the unit back to the store I purchased it from, and we unpacked another unit and found the same problem existed. Therefore, the product is not capable of heating a room properly and I will continue my search for a space heater to control the temperature in my upstairs office which does not have air ducts for heat.

If anyone has recommendations I would be interested in their comments.

There are a couple of videos that might help, but usually, it is just a matter of undoing every screw that you can find. The videos show the switch just levers out. It is held by plastic clips. To split the case, you just need a long Philips screwdriver. 4 screws hold it.

If you have access to a air compressor just blow it out, caned air is so so.You can put put the ca under hot water and get better pressure.

I have a Vornado Digital Vortex Heater. The fan stopped running in less than a year though the lights still come on.

Finding parts for a heater like this would be all most imposable you could how ever take it apart and put 115 volts to the 2 wires coming out of the fan to see if it is the fan or the switch that controls it. Check the switch with a continuity meter if the switch is bad you might be able to replace with a toggle switch the safest thing to do would be buy a new one these small heaters are mostly solid state which means you can't repair them .

Call 1-800-234-0604 - This is Vornado's consumer service line. This manufacturer is well known for great customer service, and they should be able to tell you if something is wrong with the unit. If so, and if the heater is under warranty, they will fix it or replace it for free. You won't even have to pay shipping to send the unit in.

Power switch broken

I found this switch for a Vornado VH2 which seems similar, and you can order one at a time

I ordered 2 replacement switches for $8.58 incl taxes+ shipping and today I received the replacement switch pictured below (on the left), together with the original (on the right), the only difference being that the replacement does not have the I / O markings.
Relatively easy to remove and install, and now my fan is working again.
