We need help to connect to xbox live what to do? We added a hard drive and and an adpter to get the wireless internet the card ask to create a new profile we did that than the card says to go to account...

When signed in to the profile select "Join Xbox LIVE" That should take you where you need to be.

If you've already done that, after activating your LIVE account, if you go to my xbox and select your avatar. Then go right one there should be a button saying "manage account." Select that and you are in account management.

I try to log on but is says that i need an update but i can't my connections is bad and it keeps saying to check my connections

The newest update for Xbox 360 for the launch of Kinect is causing problems. I fixed mine by going into System Settings, Network settings, then running a test on xbox live. Initiating the test logs your profile out then runs a network test. The test completed with no problems and then asked me if I wanted to update again. Without logging back into my profile I clicked OK and the update ran without a hitch. I think the solution lies in the fact that my profile was logged out and from what I have seen, the only way to connect to xbox live without a profile being logged in is with a network test. Once you connect to xbox live it senses that you don't have the update and asks you again, this time without a profile logged in and you are able to do it.

Does not let me get into xbox live it says i have an update i try and run it i go to the the system settings test xbox live connections it gets to the internet then half way from internet to xbox live it...

Here's how I fixed mine. When I got the message stating that the download was unsuccessful I went into settings, then network, and I tested my network connection. During a network test it automatically logs your profile out, but when the test came back good, before it logged my profile back in, it asked me to update again. I hit "a" to accept the update and it worked this time.

You might be banned from Xbox Live. If not then you could buy a new wireless modem.
