I was wondering if you knew the model # for the bearing kit I need to buy to stop the squeaking.

Thanks!

The squeaking is actually coming from the front. Is it still a bearing kit I need to replace it or is it another part? Thanks for your help!

GE washer squeaking

Make sure the felt on the rim of the drum is secure and the plastic glides that the drum sits on are not worn down.

My GE Profile Dryer is still operating but produces loud intermitent noise as the drum rotates. What can I do to eliminate the noise?

It sounds like you may have a bad bearing in the back of the drum. That model rotates on a sort of ball and socket type mechanism. You may be able to lubricate it if the noise is just squealing/squeaking. If it is more than that, you'll probably need to replace the bearing mechanism. If you lube it, use a heavy weight lube that is rated for high heat (I've used brake caliper grease.)

It could be the rear drum bearing, or the belt needs replacement.

Ge profile dpsq495et0ww has a severe squeak to it. we checked out if it was the belt. and the belt looks good. when we take off the front door it doesn't squeak when we turn it on but if i manually turn it...

The problem could probably be with the drum bearings or the drum support rollers. The following link direct you to the internal diagrams of this dryer model with the part selection in case of any damaged parts. Hope that helps you out.

Dryer drum causing squeak

Most likely the front support bearing. If this is the problem you will likely have to replace the slides too. The wizards have a ten year warranty. The bearing is part number WE3M26 and the slides probably need 3 or 4 of them are we1m333. Hope this helps.

GE Profile Dryer Model # DPSR473EWOWW SQUEAKING

If the squeaking has been going on for only a short time, you may be able to get by with only replacing the rear drum bearing, but if it has been going on for some time you should replace the drum bearing kit part # WE25M40. Also be sure to check that the front drum slides are ok, especially the one on the left side of the front drum support, as this one wears out faster. Drum slides #
WE1M481 and
WE1M333 and if front support frame is worn so that there is nothing left to hook the slides into you would need a
WE3M26.
