Question about RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone
When my blackberry is on a profile that is not vibrate or silent, when I answer an incoming call it is automatically on speakerphone. The person on the other end always tells me that they echo...but after about five seconds it switches back to a normal volume setting. How do I fix it to where when I answer an incoming call no matter what profile it's on a regular, not speakerphone, volume? I've tried changing all of my default call volumes on my profile to low but nothing works! Help! I have the same problem on a couple of 8310's and i m pretty sure it started happening right after i updated them to the new os 4.2.2 i think.
I had the same problem. When I answered a call, it was on speakerphone for about 4-5 seconds and the caller heard an echo. I did two things and between the two, the problem went away. First, I enabled and then disabled bluetooth (Options -- Bluetooth). It was already disabled, but thought maybe bluetooth was acting up. Last, I took out my battery while the phone was on, the reconnected the battery and turned on my phone. It echo/speakerphone issue went away....we'll see how long this lasts.

After taking out the battery for a couple of minutes, fixed this on my Pearl

Press the button on top of the phone which is used for Mute. Screen would display " phone is entering standby mode". That fixed the problem for me

I had the same problem. I called T-mobil, my carrier, and they had me take the battery out while the phone was 'on' and put it back in. After the security scan was done, the tech called me back on my cell - problem fixed. (I'm not sure if he did something on his end too, but at least try it your self first!)
