Error when attempting to write disk

When I attempt to write a CD-Audio disk through Roxio Creator 6, the disc ejects and this error message appears:

"E80041845: Command Error - Invalid field in parameter list - [05/26/00]"

I've tried toggling all settings in the program, and cannot find much help via Roxio's site. I am having difficulty finding the original disk, but if needed could dig it up...somewhere...
Thank you for reading my problem!

Well, "repairing" the program did nothing at all. So I finally hunted down the original CD with the software and un-installed and then re-installed the program and viola! it works perfectly.
I need to break my addiction to Roxio products...

Sometimes the driver that is used to burn CD's gets corrupted, you should try removing and re-installing roxio. The only other possibility is a bad CD burner drive, but these are dirt cheap to replace these days, you should easily be able to find one under 40$.

Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator Version 6 Basic VCD D:LITE-ON DVDRWSOHW-1673S C"write error") (03/0c/00)) I receive this message when I try to copy a CD.

It could either be the hardware (the Lite-On writer),
or it could be the "blank" disks that you are trying to write on.

Find a few "blank" disks from a different manufacturer than the disks that you are using, and try them.

Look at the "failed" disks -- do you see any evidence on the bottom of the disks, to indicate that _some_ of the disk has been written to?

Insert the "failed" disk into some other computer -- does it still show as a "blank" disk? If so, then your Lite-On is *NOT* "writing" when it should be writing.

My CD/DVD burner isn't burning at the proper speed. I burned a disc that should have been 66:53, but it came out 66:38 (making the music a little bit fast). I did a burner test, with Exact Audio Copy and...

The speed is determined by the speed of the burner for the type of writable media (disk) you are using and the speed the writable media supports. (For example: I have CD-R disks from years ago that don't write as fast as the CD-R disks I purchased recently.)

The lowest of these two speeds is the max write speed.

Unfortunately, there is a ridiculously large number of disk writing standards which affect write speeds. Check this out:

Cannot make mp3 files from cds

Don't bother using Roxio for this - use Windows Media Player 11.
1. Open Windows Media Player
2. Run the mouse over the "Rip" tab - a small aroow should appear underneath the word "Rip" - click on the arrow and a drop-down should appear.
3. Select - "Format" - change to "mp3"
4. Now insert your CD and press the Rip button - by default, Windows Media Player will store the mp3 files in the My Documents --> My Music folder

Now use Roxio to make a CD out of the Mp3 files

Good luck!
