SOURCE: HP Officejet 6500 will not print after sleep mode

Move the printer to a different location and keep it closer to the connected device (e.g. router) and away from large metal objects / other electromagnetic devices for stronger signal strength.

SOURCE: How do you turn off the sleep mode in a HP 3600 printer?

My printer will not print after sitting for about 30 minutes. As soon as I turn it off and then back on the job I previously sent, prints out. I tried changing the amount of time before it goes to sleep but this does not correct it and does not seem to be related. You can hit the check mark to wake it up but it still will not print until turned off and then on.

Hi Brian,

The printer goes to sleep mode irrespective of what cartridge you have in the printer. Printer goes to sleep mode if the printer is not in use.
