check that the cooling fans inside are working properly. Computer will do that if it is overheating.
shut down, unplug power cord, open case, use canned air and blow out all dust bunnies. Pay special attention to the CPU cooling fins. Plug power back in, boot up and watch the fans. Do they all spin up? and keep spinning? Keep hands out of the case when it's powered up.
