When you reinstall the batteries... check again that the plus and minus posts of the battery are correct

I dropped my Nikon D3000 and cannot get camera to recognized that the lens is attached

If you remove the back cover, there is a flexible circuit on the bottom left that attaches to the rear circuit board. Check to make sure that there are not cuts in the lands caused by impact pressing the flex into the back board components. This is a common problem with this model.

Note: replacing this calls for removal of the mirror box. Nikon stopped selling parts on July 13, 2012. You may be able to find it on Ebay.

Unplug the oven wait 10 minutes plug back in . Cooktop AND Oven working ? Yes - you have a communication problem - display board or main PCB.
Is the oven not working and the cooktop still works ? If yes it is a power problem on L1 or L2 , to verify if the issue is in the oven or the home swap L1 and L2 on the power cord. (if you do not know what you are doing then you should not touch them). If the Error remains yet the cooktop stops working or the cooktop stops and the oven starts working etc. Replace the Circuit breaker in your house panel - it works but not correctly. No Difference check the L1 line and the transformer connector on the oven board - resolder the connectors for the transformer.

I dropped my Nikon Coolpix L1 camera and cracked the battery door. Now whenever I take a picture, I have to hold the battery door manually so it will stay shut and recognize the power of the battery. I'm...

So other than the broken battery door (very common) it works just fine?

Well you could go and spend a fortune on another camera. Or you might decide that a few cents worth of sticky tape to hold the door closed is far better value.

I've fixed the same fault on similar Nikon models before by fashioning replacements for the broken plastic tab/loops using shaped short lengths of paper clip wire glued into carefully filed channels using epoxy resin (the designs vary, but Nikon keep making them of plastics with all the structural integrity of cheese!). Doing it that way makes a far neater and original-looking job of it and restores normal functionality.

Sorry, the L1 cannot be used as a webcam. It was designed to store images and videos to memory, not to stream live video to another device.

Coolpic L1

If it is the the fuse in this camera that is blown, and if it is what I have seen before, it is an SMD device. It is soldered to the circuit board, and it is about 1/4 the size of a grain of rice. You will not be able to change this yourself. It takes specialized soldering equipment, tools, and training to change it.

If the fuse is actualy blown, the cause must also be found. Changing the fuse alone is not the proper answer.

Call Nikon to find out who there service rep is for your area, and take the camera in for an estimate.

This Card Cannot Be Used

The I/O chip that communicates with the card may have failed, or the card connector on the circuit board is defective. Take the camera to the Nikon service rep to verify this.

To service this type of fault, if it is not a simple solder connection that they can get at, they will change the complete I/O circuit board.

Nikon d70 flash stopped working

Well, you are not going to like my answer. The troubleshooting guide for the D70 says it could be 1 of several PCBs (printed circuit board) being faulty or the connecting FPCs (flexible printed circuit).

You'll need to locate a local repair person or use the reapir service search here on Fixya. Nikon USA repairs will be $$$$

Camera dropped - does not turn on

Check out Nikon support. My guess is no parts or a very expensive repair bill.
