Audio drivers from sony website wont work on laptop

You need to go into your control panels and turn on audio

try downloading the VIAO update tool

this will ensure you have the latest software + drivers for your system.

problems with CD drives tend to be problems with the IDE drivers, so it may be a good idea to download the latest Chipset drivers either directly from sony (or using the tool above)
or downloading from the intel website

check two things, video (reinstall drivers) and the other may be a heat event, look in the BIOS set up in the event log.
blow dust out with compress gas especially around the heat port and exhaust fans.

sounds like maybe a driver problem go to sonys web site and look for ur model and try to download the drivers again hope this helps
