No picture, audio OK, HP PL4260N, outside HP's repair for common Problem

-   My house burned Feb 2007. I had very good insurance and was back in another home in April of 07. Either way I went to bestbuy and bought 4 HP Plasma TV's 1 50" and 3 42" . One of the 42s went out in the first 9 months and was repaired by HP. The 50" went out in December of 08. I called HP and was advised it was out of warranty and I would have to pay $6?? for the repair. I sent the CEO an email and advised I had bought 4 TVs and they all have picture problems. I was assigned a case manager named Cheryl. She sent a YSUS board and a tech for the 50" which did not fix. When I called her back she advised me she was sorry but she did her best to fix and no her hands are tied. I have 4 HP TV's Less than 2 years old and only 3 work but have horrible pictures on them. I was noticing in jscruggs420 post that he had a 3 yo tv replaced at the same time I was speaking to Cheryl at HP but they could do nothing more for me. Even though I spent over $6000 on these tv I did not have the money to buy the extended warranties. JSCRUGGS420 can you email me your incident number with HP so I my give it to Cheryl and see if she can help me on the same lines? rb3844@att.net Also has anyone thought about a class action law suit to force the repair or replacements of these TVs? -   My HP 4260 TV is not displaying a picture or sound. I have called HP's help desk and they have not provided the fix. The HP support made me unplug for 30 seconds and then plug in while holding the power button. It did not work.

I called the HP Cae MAnagement line this afternoon where they are very helpful. They first said that we need to pay $629 for on-site service. She tehn offered to work with their advanced technical support team. She called with the same unplug/reboot apprach as the HP support line. It did not work again. She indicated that the solid Blue light states that it is not a hardware issue.

She is physcially going to their advanced support team to establish a game plan. I expect a call back later today.

LEt me know if anyone has insight into solving this problem.

-   I turned on the TV, was watching tv for about 45 minutes, then i heard a soft click sound, the screen turned off and the sound stayed on. i can hear the tv program, but the screen is completely off. Can anyone with this problem please tell me what i can do, it feels to me like this is a manufacturer's defect if it is happening to so many others.-   E_G_L
