I have a durabrand portable dvd player we've owned for about 1yr and had just started messing up. When you put the dvd in it says it's loading and shows the blue dvd screen it just wont come on but you can hear it trying, please help what could be wrong?
Same here!!! We've only used it maybe 8 or 9 times. And it's been worthless for the past month because of it. It reads everything "no valid disk" and nothing will work. And I tried e-mailing customer support several times, with no luck.
ribbon cable issue found with this device. look inside at the white ribbon cable. The cable likes to bunch in bewtween the spinning hub and the eye assembly, after time it may even develope a rub spot that will shut you down for good. If the cable is bunched up, try pushing it back into the bottom of the device and try again.
Is it the correct type of disc?
Whilst these devices will play almost all 'commercial' disks
In many cases 'burned disks' Cumputer Data disks and audio disks are a No No
The manual/packaging will tell you which.
You could try a Lazer cleaner disk.
Failing that it looks as if the device is failing and needs replacing - I doubt if there is a repair option.
