Replaced coil and still misfires 80% of the time at idle (smooth not rough), voltage is fien, fuel flow is fine. What else could be causinf the problem? Wiring to ECU?
Friend, caravans, town & countrys, and voyagers of these model year group have a known problem that should have been recalled eons ago by Chrysler. The flywheel is a 3 piece flywheel that is welded together. (It should have been a single piece, forged flywheel, if they had made it to last.) The flywheel is about 18 inches in diameter and has the cog (gear tooth ring), spot welded near the outside edge. It has a center circular piece about 5 inches in diameter that is TIG welded. As the outside turns more slowly than the inside and torque stress in transmitted to the inner circle, the stress shears the welds and caused the inner part to shift about 1/8 of a rotation, throwing your timing off. You can either 1) replace the flywheel or 2) buy a rebuilt transmission.
If it's only one cylinder... bad spark plug wire or spark plug would be suspect.... swap the plug wires from another cyclinder... at the coil pack and plug and see if the misfire has "moved"

It was tried already. Problem persists. Now, this vehicle is never driven hard (take kids to schiool, go to the mall) and it might make it into the freeway maybe once every 2 months to have a "longer run" - 20 miles or so one way. Could it have build up?
Thanks.
My van just started chugging so we replaced the spark plugs, wires and coil pack. Mine is the #2. Spark plugs were swapped and still the #2 is getting fuel but no spark. What can I do to fix this?
