I have the 50 inch panasonic for only 12 months and have red light blinking 7 times

Hi, one of three boards are the culprits. SC, SU and SD boards. (Y sus and the drivers). Possibly but very very rare, the panel could have blown those boards out.

Panasonic 42 inch plasma has alternating colorbars with noise all the time.

This is a combination of the mainboard and y-sus and x-sus. Plasmas are very difficult to repair because of the cost involved. I would try and part out what you can and get an lcd with led backlighting. The led backlit tv will be way more efficient and you'll enjoy a nice picture.

I wish I could be better help in fixing it, but I've attempted repair of 100 plasmas with only 10 successful attempts!

Just yesterday, my Panasonic TH-50PX75U HDTV Plasma Television has only the lower half displayed. The upper half "flickers" but for the most part, dark grey/black. wtf

There are several possibilities here. Four different boards are involved in the horizontal scan of a plasma tv. The most likely order of failure for what you describe is; SC board, Su and SD, and finally the SS. These are Panasonic's names for what are more commonly known as the Y Main (or Y-Sus), the upper and lower Y buffer boards, and the Z main (or Z-Sus). Sorry I can't boil it down any further for you,... would have to measure voltages, etc.

Picture covered with big block of black - 3/4 of the screen ???

It sounds like your tv may require a plasma panel, but to be sure remove the back of the tv unit and check the y-sus printed circuit board as well as the z-sus printed circuit board, check that they are getting the correct voltage and that there are no blown compoments on the boards themselves. The boards names, z-sus and y-sus are written on the board as well as the voltages are listed down the side of where the plugs at the boards meet. Good Luck. Oh , and also, check with LG that it doesnt require a software upgrade.

Haier tv video problems

Hello,

First of all you have to find out whether this unit has been upgraded with a new software or not?
If this unit is upgraded with new software either you have problem in Y-sus board or Z-sus board.

If this unit is having problem for the first time I would recommend to Change the Service Kit
Part number is TV-3940-01.
This kit contains E-prom,Y-sus board, Z-sus board and Control board you have to change these 3 boards together with E-prom IC.
