simpliest thing would be to go to acer's website, click on support and then drivers downloads and download the webcam drivers and softwar for your webcam..install them and try to run the crystal eye software again...sounds like the program isnt actually there but the drivers are.
Hi has the webcam ever worked? If so what happened to stop it working? The webcam on Acer notebooks is part of their Vista software so if you uninstalled by accident you would need to reinstall the application that runs it aswell. Acer notebooks have a useful utility called Acer Erecovery Management which you can use to reinstall. Goto Start, All Programs, Acer Empowering Technology Acer Erecovery Management.
Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall
the software program. When the program asks you to connect the
camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
I assume you have an ACER laptop, since you have a Crystal Eye webcam. Most likely the software for your webcam got corrupted or is malfunctioning. So you may have to uninstall then reinstall the software for the webcam. Your laptop or PC will most likely will come with drivers CD or software CD, so you can reinstall it again. Otherwise if you lost the CDs or can't find them, you can goto the manufacturer's website which is www.acer.com then find the specific model of the laptop or PC then download it.
If you can find it, I suggest you contact the manufacturer of your PC or thw webcam for further support.
