SOURCE: Compressor keeps trying to start for 5 secs then shuts off

This sounds like the unit is low on freon. From the model plate you have a 24,000 btu unit. This is the minimum needed for 1100 sq ft not accounting for windows and doors. Other factors have to be looked at for a good cooling AC, where is the unit located? In the basement is good. in the attic is bad. look at all the duct work is it all metal and insulated (good) is it plastic tubing (bad). The more insulation on the duct and the better it is sealed the better. You could use more btu's but you would have to replaced the whole system inside and out. You might look for a good 12,000 btu window unit or 2 - 3 8000 btus in different rooms. Now back to the problem I think you unit is low on freon. Should be using R22, unless you have a brother-in-law in the HVAC business you will have to call a local AC company to check out and add freon. Repost if you find other problems.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the help and I will definitely look at getting a window unit. The furnace is in the basement and the duct work is all metal and mostly covered in insulation so I will double check for leaks at the inside unit."

SOURCE: why does the fan run non stop? the compressor

Depending on the time sequence you have this unit set to run, Fredrich's are designed so that the fan runs almost constantly, to keep the air moving. When it senses a rise in humidity above the level you have it set on, the compressor turns ON and runs until the level of humidity is lowered. This is especially true, if you are operating this unit in continual mode.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

SOURCE: Radiator fan continues to run. Fan won't shut

Its supposed to keep running even with the car turned off if the car is still to warm, they work off a sensor,, now if it keeps running way to long,, the sensor is bad,, ( if you have to pull the fuse to make it quit after a while,, then check the relay , and then the sensor )

We have a kenmore ultra wave microwave and the fan has stopped working and now the microwave won't operate. Any suggestions?

see this causes and fix it .God bless you
Exhaust Fan Motor If the exhaust fan does not run the fan motor might be bad. Remove the fan motor from the microwave oven and see if the blades can be turned by hand. They should turn very freely, if they're stiff the fan motor will need to be replaced. The fan motor can also burn out. To test this use an Ohm meter. The motor should have continuity. If it does
Thermostat If the microwave exhaust fan is not working the thermostat might be defective. The thermostat senses the air temperature and turns on the fan as needed, if it's defective it won't turn on the fan. Watch our video on testing thermostats.

Main Control Board If the microwave exhaust fan is not working check the exhaust fan motor and wiring. If they are good the main control board might be defective.

Subzero 501R fan won't shut down when door closes

HI, I'll be able to help you out but I want to go over some stuff that way you'll have a better understanding of your machine so if I have a question it will easier for you to answer. Lets start out with the fan. The fan your hearing inside the machine is called an evaporator fan. Its located at the top of the machine directly over the evaporator coils, which are behind the back wall, that freon goes through in its gas state to cool the machine. The evaporator coild get cold and the fans job is to pull air from the bottom of the machine, across the coils and intio the refrigerator itself and therefor cooling the whole thing. The fan does not extract air out at all. The suction sound you hear is caused from the machine design and the differential in temperature in and out of the machine. The fan will runs non-stop with only 2 exceptions. First being the door getting opened, which opens the switch, I think on that model is located naer the bottom next to the light switch. If the fan is running after you open the door your door switch is stuck or broken and needs to be fixed, but that wouldnt' tmake the temp raise. The second is when the thermostat registers that its cold enough it shuts the fan off. From the age and what your saying is going on I would first check the condersor coils, located behind the removable grate and see if they are really dirty. That would cause the temp to raise airfloe is blocked and the compressor gets too hot. While down there check the fan to see if its running as that too will cause the machine to get hot if not. Ihe coils are clean and the fan is running call a tech because you probably have a freon leak, which is the likely candidate.

KithenAid model KUDSo1DL wont operate, clean green light flashes non stop

This is a issue with the way the water is moving & or heating in the unit. There should be a tech mini manual behind the motor kick panel. The manual describs the failure and it's correction. Depending the the model year & run / revision code, this error could be caused by low water level, a bad thermistor, the control board not sensing inputs, bad heater or door interlock switch issues. attached is a couple of help sheets. They are general in scope.
