Question about Canon PIXMA MP160 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Canon MP160 printer since new upgrade to Mac OS 10.6.8 won't print text. It prints pictures, logos, etc. but won't print text anymore. It just puts a single blank page through the rollers without engaging the print heads for text documents, no matter how many pages long they are. Tried reinstalling print drivers, tried rebooting, tried printing one page at a time, tried printing just selected text out of whole document, tried everything I can think of to no avail. Help!
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I am MS Offfice Systems as part of my degree. I have two courses in word. What you need to do is to click on the office button, click on print, and click print again. Click on the properties button on the top right on print dialog box. In the selection box about fourth option down where it say Two-sided (Duplex) Printer click on that. That should do it for you.

Make sure you fan the paper before you put it in the input tray.
Make sure the curl of the paper is down. (Hold the paper up by one corner, there will be a definite curl to the paper).
Open the printer driver status window.
The printer driver settings such as paper type and position of the paper thickness lever are displayed in the Settings Preview on the left side of the printer driver screen.
Display the Settings Preview and check the specified settings.
To set the paper thickness lever on the printhead carrier:
With the printer on, raise the top of the printer so that the printhead/ink cartridge carrier is centered. Make sure the paper thickness lever is in the paper position and not in the envelope position.
This is the only thickness adjustment.

Tips for a great answer:
Scanning can be performed with the MP Navigator software. Please open the MP Navigator from your Desktop or the Canon Utilities listing of the Start Menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac).
Hope this helps you.
